In all honesty do many tiger supporters really care if Hardwick does coach Gold Coast?
I know I really don't, he gave the club almost 15 years service and we won 3 flags. It was pretty obvious that Dimma quitting was the right thing for us , it meant we can start planning ahead and don't have to worry about sacking a tiger coaching great.
Good luck to him I say, I've moved on.

Good on Hardwick for dealing with the issue head on. Id much rather this the Clarko / Mitchell mess.

No.
But he could have gone 3 years ago would have been more noble.

Yeah I agree. I personally don’t care. He took us to places we haven’t seen in over 30 years and it was clear this year that he ran out of ideas with our playing group (it happens to even good coaches/managers). Thought it was a good time for us both to move on. Also, Hardwick can hopefully get us that top 10 Gold Coast pick for cheap too.

Having said that, I see why some people are upset. I guess from their POV Hardwick took another coaching job during a period where he would’ve still been contracted to us. He’s the one to terminate the contract and not us. Hardwick may try going for our players and staff too, which is another thing that people may have an issue with.

I’m on the “I don’t care” side, but I can see both sides of the argument.

Mid 2020?

Dimma takes the Gold Coast job after living there for a few months, mid COVID.
Nah. I'll take the flag thanks.

The 4th grand final I'd attended. A memorable one for me.

I live an hour from Metricon. 15min qtrs; almost no crowds, so parking was easy, I've never seen so much AFL since I left Melbourne.

I've learnt about the soft cap and disparity between head coach assistant coach wages, and wages of footy dept people.

NBA used to be on FTA TV back when Jordan was playing. I loved the Chicago Bulls. Longley, Rodman, Pippen and they had another who could play a bit . Forget his name. The Last Dance docco wasn't bad.

I was hoping RFC would do a Geelong and just stay in the 8 forever. We had the list on paper but we crashed in 2021, Dusty Martin unprecedented time off etc etc.

Made the 8 in 2022 it would've been great to trend up.. but nah. KPF injuries out the wazoo.

Still getting smashed in the midfield as we didn’t address the slow midfielder issue. Just topped up with more plodders.
MRJ , Sonsie and Clarke becoming midfielders are my only hope of getting out of this crisis.

He owes Richmond nothing
lets be honest

he left cos the list is shit now and umps are reaming us

he genuinely bitched out

at the gold campaigners he'll have a better list with millions of low draft picks and the umps will help him out every week

Seems like a curated exit plan from both clubs. Dimma likely addressed the club about leaving for a fresh start end of year.

Moving to a new club as a coach does not roll as smoothly as a player transfer. From there I think RFC plan the exit due to burnout, which enables him to take a few months off and ease back into the landscape with his new job and everyone shakes hands and moves on without a sh*tfight.

Love the man with anything to do with richmond, but in other colours I hope it's a full blown disaster for him! :tearsofjoy:

imagine how tarranto and hipper feel

they were promised the world and the coach they wanted to play under did a runner 9 weeks in and 3 months later hes coaching another club

dog act from dumma

this.:arrowup::arrowup: can accept him leaving no problem with that, was well cooked b4 he walked, but hes roped in a average mid n put him on 700 for 7 years n more than likely be struggling to get a spot in 3 years time
TT's justifying his pay, 4th fav for charlie and probs win the B&F thats the level of 700k,top 5 B&F's,JH is nowhere near that level, his slow starts to games are a huge red flag, when the pace of the games at its hottest ,nowhere to be found at present

5 year deal to Suns huh?

Gee, that's what i said the week he left, amazing

No matter how any rose colored glasses crew want to spin it, the taranto & hopper deal showed a complete lack of care based on how invested the coach was into his "Last Dance" storyline

“If I was a Richmond fan, I’d be absolutely filthy,” Cornes told SEN’s Sportsday.

MEMO TO CORNES

Mate if you were Richmond supporter, we would hunt you down and throw rocks through your window and rough you up until you hated the Tigers.
And yet the vast majority of us aren't "filthy"
Cornes is a flipping muck raking troglodyte

I do as it was perceived by Dimma that he was quiting as much for the well being of the club .
It is now appearing that he was deceitful as he in fact was quiting as he had already committed to GC and was linning his own pocket and everything about it was smokes and mirrors .
