JWlliams will be alright.You don't understand the dynamics of the Eagles forward line
Jack suffered from being the third or fourth tall forward behind Waterman, Allen, Darling and at times was dropped to the Wafl to see whether Flynn/ BWilliams could work as a ruck/forward combo which mostl Eagles fans knew would not work.Now that Darling has gone he should get more games/tog i expect he will improve further.
At times last year he looked a better ruck than Bwilliams.
Hopefully Flynn can stay on the field and Jwilliams will be a more than capable ruck/forward.

Williams will be a good player. He's already better at rucking than most ruck/fwds, just needs more supply as a fwd to make the most of it. He won't be the worst WA Kpf from his draft (jvr and amiss)

I just said he wont be the worst. Hes been behind them because both JVR and Amiss are far more athletic, and Jack is way bigger, hes needed to build some muscle. Theyre not the same types of players and comparing their first couple of years in the comp in completely different environments doesnt make sense.

Nah this revisionist (although to be fair your probably don't follow West Coast in the media as closely as a WC supporter would).

It was FAR from consensus that drafting Reid is what we should do.
Even our own board didn't have consensus on the issue.

Plenty of media commentators were of the opinion that we needed to take advantage and swap for multiple picks - due to our current rebuild, positional needs, risk of go-home factor, pressure on just 1 player to lift the team (there was even a couple of nutty suggestions of a "he won't come" factor).

Being far from a no-brainer - I think there would have been hefty discussion about closed doors at WC about exactly what to do with pick 1.

It was a no brainer, he was a clear number 1 pick.

Who, Jack Darling? One of Waterman or Allen were basically injured in the past two years over that period.

Player ratings are massively flawed. JW is living off his elite goal kicking accuracy but doesn’t have enough stats to have a decent sample size. Rucking is also going to add stats to push up his numbers when the statement you made is key forward.
