The bloke talking to Dermie didn't seem have all the hair. Where did the hair go and how did it come back so quickly? Does he wear a wig? Or did he just send some short haired bloke to SEN to do his pr work for him?
Hairy deMatted-ia

Disappointed to hear that wing and half back are where they see him in the short term. He was drafted as a mid, that's where he should play. He needs exposure , and should be given the opportunity to develop his midfield craft.

Nothing wrong with wing or half back.
Let him master that first.

Pendles, Nick, Titch, Jordy, Crisp, Sidey, Beams, Swan, Buckley - none of them began their AFL career in the centre square. You work your way in there.

What can he do well ? Genuinely asking . Watched all the highlights etc and I believe he has some tools . Who’s a similar type player ?
Good speed and strength for his age. I'm hoping McCreery like. Maybe Ed Langdon or John Noble with a little more strength might be closer, seaming they play wing and half back with similar attributes.

“Wing” is midfield.
It's all definitional. Bucks used to include the high half forwards and backs when talking about midfield - others use it just to mean the inside stoppage players.

In terms of the post you're responding to, it's a good thing that HDM has skillset for wing and back flank. It gives him a chance of breaking into the team and playing senior footy whilst he's developing. Guys like Long and Finn need to become good enough for inside mid before they get a regular game. I don't like their chances.

Really not sure of what you are saying there in response to my flippant dad joke. But I’ve no doubt it’s irrelevant pulp.
In order for your joke to work even a tiny bit Harry would need to show something at AFL level but the only thing he's known for to date is telling the world he's going to be a leader of the Club.
Irrelevant pulp or not my point was very easy to comprehend.
But alas, I might need to lower my expectations even further.

ps. Funny how these things work out but to reinforce my point he finished time trial along side of 2 rucks and a player that's given up, onwards and upwards from there.

Read the joke again.

Comprehension Clue: Pendles is a footballer with a basketball background. He's not a basketballer with a football background.
