Injury Harry Taylor (cut ankle) and Steve Johnson (broken hand)

Harry's the bigger worry for me as it seems SJ may miss a week or two with the MRP anyway. Who could be a chance to play if Taylor misses next week?

Anyone heard any info this morning?

Re: Harry Taylor (Ankle) and SJ (Hand)

Apparently with Harry they had trouble getting him to stop bleeding.

Oddly somewhere today I saw it reported as a bruised heel.

They're interviewing Bomber now on 774. He said that Harry's ankle was bleeding so much due to an artery being cut-ouch! He wasn't sure if he'd be OK to play next week.

Re: Harry Taylor (Ankle) and SJ (Hand)

Just had Doc Larkins on Dribble M. Harry should be ok to play, but just depends on how quickly the cut heals as it did bleed quite a lot. Stevie J has a suspected fractured bone in his hand which will be confirmed by x-ray and/ or scan this afternoon. Will more than likely keep him out for 3-4 weeks. Bartel's elbow is not as bad as suspected and will at the worst only miss next week but is a strong chance to play against the roos

Oh right, I only skim read that and saw Harry and SJ. Good news then, thanks :)

His hit on Baker is now looking even better if he was going to miss 3-4 :thumbsu:

That explains it.

Sounds like he may need a rest next week and Gillies will get a run.

Need Kelly and Chapman back too with SJ and maybe Bartel out.

I was thinking the other day that Scarlett should have contested that report that he had, the logic being that he was going to miss anyway and 'reducing' the sentence migt leave him with more carry-over points. SJ should consider this option as well.

I totally agree. When you think that Mooney is likely to be suspended this week largely because of carry over points, it is a reminder why it is always good to challenge suspensions and try and get them reduced if there's a reasonable prospect of succeeding.

Re: Harry Taylor (Ankle) and SJ (Hand)

with all the injury run that we are having I hope it is an omen (of some sort) that it will all fall in to place come finals and we have our best 22 on the field - finally ( but no doubt without Max).

I mentioned it at the time but the thing against doing that in Scarlett's case was that he was probably hoping to play under duress in that game against Port where he was going to wear Harley's number.

Re: How did Steve J break his hand

Trying to pull Milne, Motagna, Gilbert and Armitage off the unsuspecting victims.

A third post quoting this isn't really needed but...
