Coach Has Ken Hinkley Been Found Out?

Yeah, I’m not reading all that. It really took you two weeks to come up with a response?

I don’t care about arguing with Hinkley with you, as you can’t listen to anything. It’s always some stupid response like, “BuT the pLaYeRs lOvE hInKlEy.”

It’s going to be his last year anyway us arguing won’t change anything will it?
I've been busy recently and haven't had time to post.
Hinkley coached Bell Park to a premiership in 2003 in a league where clubs such as St Joseph's, St Mary's and Leopold are far richer and more resourced, hence attracting the best players.

I know you'll say the premiership doesn't mean anything because it's local footy, but the Geelong region is widely known as the strongest football region in Australia.
If we had the Falcons as our exclusive feeder club instead of Falcons players being available for all clubs to draft, then none of the other clubs would stand a chance against us.

Also, don't be surprised if Hinkley earns himself a new contract next year.
David Koch wants Hinkley to be a 20 year coach at Port and has recently stated he thinks Hinkley is doing a great job as coach.

Bringing up the Bell Park flag again should earn you a permaban from this thread it's absolutely meaningless.

Congrats and you’re right it means nothing.

So we’ve got: it’s Carrs and Chad Cornes’ fault, his bush league wins, the list not good enough, and pLaYeRs lOvE kEnNy. You’ve literally blamed the lost manager, assistant coaches and players, yet give Ken all the credit when we win. Very logical. This is why I can’t be bothered talking with you about this.

You’re either a troll or the most dishonest person on here.

He’s gone after next year you can bookmark this. Koch doesn’t make the decision to re-sign him either.

And Boaky
Remember how bad Port were when Hinkley arrived? They only won eight games in two years.

Hinkley has never coached Port to less than 10 wins in a season, nor has he ever coached Port to a bottom 4 finish with Port's lowest finish during Hinkley's tenure being 11th in 2022.
Hinkley has never coached Port to a 100+ point loss either, and he deserves credit for that as Port suffered some humiliating 100+ point losses under Williams and Primus.

Has anyone coached as many games as Hinkley without being beaten by 100 points or more? Even Chris Scott has a 100+ point loss to his name.

Your Hinkley simping is getting very creepy. If you're not a family member or very close friend of his (and it's highly likely that you are) then this obsession with constantly talking him up is just weird.

Utterly useless statistics.

The fact Hinkley has never coached Port to a 100+ point loss after coaching for 12 seasons is testament to the quality of his defensive systems.
It shows that it's about coaching rather than personnel and given the fact that Hinkley has overseen multiple list turnovers, he deserves credit for keeping Port in finals contention every year since he's been at the helm.
Contending for finals every year and never bottoming out is something to take pride in, look no further than my own club who are the benchmark when it comes to sustained success.

Freomaniac agrees with me when it comes to Hinkley, and he's on record saying he'd love Hinkley to coach the Dockers.
Yep I wouldn't mind Ken Hinkley at the dockers at the end of 2025 or early 2026 if Justin Longmuir hands the dockers another finish outside of finals.

This dockers playing squad under Ken Hinkley would easily hand the dockers a finals run similar to North Melbourne of 2014, 2015 and 2016.

That is 3 seasons of 5th to 8th place finishes or 3 elimination finals in a row

Well Taper isn't alone.

I would love Ken Hinkley to coach the dockers. If that means a similar finals run like North Melbourne in 2014-16 then so be it.

Hell he could hand the dockers a finals run similar to Carlton of 2009-2011 of 3 Elim finals in a row and 1 finals win.

The fact that Kenny’s team regularly shit the bed in home finals is a far greater indictment on his record than anything you’ve posted in support of him. Kenny’s fine, he’s good, but he’s no better than that.

It’s a far greater achievement to actually win a grand final, let alone make a grand final, than being in “finals contention” (not premiership contention!) during the season and underperforming when it really counts.

Also, don’t try and compare Port to Geelong, that’s just embarrassing.
