So, anyone entertained this, or is it just me?

Yeah I have. I went into 2006 thinking we weren't too far away, not from being a Premiership contender, but at least making the finals and hopefully winning one. Didn't take long to feel pretty stupid about that prediction. This year has made me think that things just sucked last year and we weren't as far away as we all thought.

I blame last year on me leaving the country. Sorry about that.

Not really sure how to answer that. Happiness doesn't quite cut it. I won't sleep for a week, the missus will probably pack up and leave and I might go back to work around December, if at all.

In fact, if I slept in bus stops and drank cheap booze for sustenance for the rest of my life due to North winning this flag, I would not be at all surprised.

I can't see us doing it this year, if it does happen somehow then it will just make the victory that much sweeter but I don't have any real expectation for this year, I felt making the finals would be a bonus this year and still feel that way.

If the opposition chokes comes finals time than I'd be very happy if we gave it a good shake.

I pray to God every day that we do it this year. You're not the only one thinking about it - I can assure you of that.

All flags are special for the winning club - in fact special doesn't even describe it, but for this football club right now - this would lift the roof off (if there is one) and absolutely change the lives of all the players involved and supporters. It will also change careers of some journos and most importantly give hope to every club in the competition with the message Dare to Dream written all over it!

I know what your saying Taz but History says you gotta take your chances when you can. Next year we might have a rotten run with injuries, bad form it may be a long time untill we are in this position again.

It's awesome to talk about but let's face it at the end of the next 3 weeks we could be crying ourselves to sleep and fighting to have a top 4 chance. So many 'contenders' we've played against have been off their game and these happy days are about over...I fantasise about pinching it, but the logic side of my brain sees trouble a'brewin'.
