Collingwood would need to win by 153 points next game to match our % (108.5%)
Brisbane loss means top 4 is still plausible assuming they lose their next game and port lose the showdown which they will cus theyre a bunch of spuds who will fold under the pressure of a top 4 finish and crom have nothing to lose.

True, but no point in expending mental energy about it. I think the most likely result is Freo out, Collingwood (8th) then us and the Bullies in 6th and 7th, depending on if they win their last game. Given 6 play 7 it doesn't change anything for us, so most likely we get tough game against one of the form teams at the G. At least in this scenario there will be footy in Melbourne in the first week.

Following results get us in. Unlikely but possible:
Adelaide beat Port
Freo beat Port
Bombers beat Lions
Giants beat Dogs

We'd also need to win both games by enough to get %age over Port which is something like 80-90 points across both.

My ladder predictor has us almost always playing Bulldogs in the first final and if we win then the Shats

Yep, I have us playing the Bulldogs, too.

I'm not sure how I feel about that. Their best is pretty good.

One final a week at the G. With no Melbourne other sides in it, the Cats would be hosting us on our home ground.

Shame we lost to the Giants. A win tomorrow and we would have displaced the Cats in the top 4. We would have been a genuine contender. Too much travelling finishing 5-8 and almost impossible to win the flag from there.

Then play the Cats in the Qualifying final the week after that would be a fair chance.

Two finals in a row at the MCG, would make it a lot easier to go all the way through to GF if that worked out (I'm getting a little ahead of myself I know ).

Nothing has changed today, we win our remaining games, we were going to make finals.

Not if it's the only final in Victoria that week. 1 final must be at the MCG. So unless 2 Vic sides get home finals its at the MCG. So we really should be looking for Geelong in top 4 and losing a qualifying final to play us week 2.

We could end up with 3 MCG finals if we play Bulldogs and cats in first 3 weeks and make grand final. Will have to travel at least once though.

Not if you play the first 2 weeks at the G which is a possibility. Your only travelling for the Prelim more than likely. Let's just get there first and than worry about the rest.
