We’re not there just yet. Still have two games to win and to be safe we need to win them by plenty. Carlton can still finish above us from here. But results this week have opened up more possibilities for us. Doggies no certainties to make it from here. Can’t help but feel that this season has more twists to come…
Carlton will be lucky to win another game, the wheels have well and truly fallen off

It will . There will be a few more suprise results to come.

If we win our last 2 we make the 8 regardless of any other result

People will laugh - but Norf will be a danger game. They are slowly improving and Clarko will be out for our blood. He would have them fired up to deprive us of finals - we have to be very bloody switched on for that game should we account for Richmond next week.

If Dogs lose to Crows we are almost ... almost a lock for finals (providing we win our final two games). Due to next week Freo v GWS and final round Dogs v GWS
There is still a mathematical possibility that we miss if we win our last two but it is very, very unlikely.

If GWS lose those two games you've highlighted, both Freo and Bulldogs could stay above us with two wins. However, we should then be able to overtake GWS on percentage as the difference between us currently is only 3.3%. It would take four very close margins - two very slim GWS losses and two very slim Hawks wins - for us not to overtake them.

Even then, we'll still be in the 8 unless Carlton also win their last two and overtake us on percentage.

So, possible but extremely unlikely that we miss if we win our last two.

I'll go with 99.9% we're in if we win our last two.

That's fair, but if we can't beat north with finals on the line then we don't deserve to be there. Separately, clarko hasn't been able to "get them up" all year...

Yep. I mentioned this yesterday. Clarko will have them up for it like it's a GF.

There lives the possibility that Fremantle lose their remaining 2 games and we make it on 13 games. There's also the possibility we win our last two and miss.

Can’t polish a turd. If we are the serious side we seem to be, we will smash them.

Today’s brilliant performance and the favours from Adelaide and Gold Coast mean that all we need to do now is beat the two worst sides. We’d have to shit the bed to miss from here. What an amazing season turnaround

From the worst start in 50+ years into winning twelve of the next sixteen games, and two of those losses were last moment heartbreakers.

What an unprecedented turnaround. Literally no one could have foreseen this kind of turnaround.

True, Carlton have two easier games in a row - but their injury toll is hurting now.

GWS, Port and Freo all have two tough games.

A lot of new avenues to maintain our place or even improve our standing.

Carlton have an easy draw but have been decimated.
Fremantle will be overtaken with one loss and play GWS/Port.
Dogs have GWS final round.

The key for us is just keep winning. No banana peel result.

Yes I think that’s right. If Crows win this, percentage should not matter. Win the last 2 against rubbish sides and play finals. So go Crows !
Our percentage is fairly good now. Another couple of decent wins could get us closer to some of the others in the 110s. Not without the realms of possibility of top 4. Outside chance but still live.

Port at the MCG
If if's Port and they are ahead of us won't the game be in SA?
And if it's Geelong, won't that be at the cattery?
The only way I see us getting a game at the G in the first week is if we finish 6th or the bullies finish 6th and we come 7th.
Could be a first week of finals with none in Melbourne.
