Autopsy Hawks v Swans

Half forward line turnovers killed the hawks. The game was lost there.

Few guys look like they're over it. Don't need to name names, but some appear to be cooked or have had enough.

Can't fault the young players, they're young players.

Few positives, the machine just isn't ticking over at the moment.

Let's face it to get within 14 points after the week we've had, where we were clearly flat, had the umpires cost us a good 4-5 goals in the second half, concede a big lead, butcher easy set shots all night and concede some shocking 2 goal turn arounds........ We can play a million miles better and it was still the perfect storm for the Swans to just creep over the line.

We actually should have won by a few goals in the end IMO but it was just one of those nights where it was never going to work.

Will win the next 3 and then if we thump North we are off to the races.

Good effort by the hawks poor execution cost us in the end. Would've taken a lot of energy to get back in the game from so far down and sydney dominated the last quarter and ran out the game better. No need for panic at HFC, tracking well and will only continue to improve.

Before we go around potting individual players let's just put it into context. How many of us could realistically put in a great shift at work after learning your best mate has had a return of an aggressive form of cancer.

It wasn't our best performance but thankfully it's not going to be our last. We have many more weeks and many more games to rectify it.

Our poor kicking cost us the game tonight. Missed targets, missed shots on goal, kicked to the wrong option, bombed the ball into the forward line too often. We had our chances tonight.

Bounce back next week against Brisbane where a 100 point win should be par.
You would think, but if leppa gets sacked , things could be a whole new ball game! They ran the swans off their legs a few weeks back.yeah they are bad but I' haven't seen much stunning from us except west coast either:(

Our boys have had a shocking week.

Rioli's grandfather, Langford's Grandfather, Rough....

They put in and fought it out.

Not good enough on the night, but I am somewhat proud of the effort, when they really could've just shut up shop after the first quarter, considering the weight on their shoulders.

I also thought that. This is why the side won the last 3 flags, could have meekly folded but didn't. I know a lot of people will be unhappy with that, but after the sht week with all sorts of issues, that was really good.

Sorry to Intrude but in a weird way that was a pretty bloody good result from your blokes i think.
- obviously a tough time off field
- lots of key outs
- probabaly the worst I can remember seeing you guys play in 5 years.
- being absolutely slaughtered by the umpires (from a non biased view it was absolutely blatant & borderline match fixing)
And considering all that you only just got beat by a pretty decent team.

I'm hoping for decent odds now for you guys to win the flag because I still rate you #1

Regardless of what happens off field, it's inexcusable to handball to an opponent after you've taken a mark
