That's not a problem, we won clearances teams can tag Mitchell all the like, on stats it looks nice but it doesn't work. We lost tonight with horrible inside 50 entry.

Exactly. This was somehow the only game our midfield looked functional in the stoppages.

It's just we shat the bed on the outside by bombing it in to two stick figures.

We were largely shit, umpiring was blatantly cheating the AFL just have to keep the love child in business . Ceglar, Langford, Hill spudding it up as usual and cannot ne part of the future. Move heaven and earth to get a new David Hale in the off season Scilliy can't kick a set shot anymore and thats his role. Gunners is an absolute champion of the game. Schoey would actually improve our line up! Brand and TOB going nicely though. We got a reality check tonight, we can play good football but we gave them too much head start.

Yeah but everyone I've spoken to as well as many posters here seemed to think this would galvanise the team and we would smash me for rough.
So their logic is: Family/friend super super sick = play better.. Dreamers

No no no. Many of them are distraught. Football was the last thing on their mind tonight. I applaud them for getting within 14 points. Great effort.

Us playing poorly more so than them playing good. I'm not too upset we only lost by 14 playing that poorly
I thought we'd get hammered at one point.... Still think clarko might be seething... Tough week with players grandfathers and roughy , the footy gods aren't shining too much light at the bit... Hope things get better I worry with the media attacking brissie it could be a tough game at the gabba.

Are our ruckman dumber than others? Just curious, they look like they think half an hour slower than others. Mcevoy is utterly useless with his ruck work and Cegs doesn't do anything other than make mistakes, DE 43%, give me a bloody spell.

Our forward entries where diabolical, that's been the case all season.

We have issues with quite a few senior players.

Brad Hill - 16 touches and no impact, he has been struggling all season.

Gran Birchall - what's happened to this bloke ? Used to be calm and make great decisions, he used to attack, now he is the opposite.

Jordan Lewis - you can't have 2 good games then dish up what he did tonight. 55% DE and only 7 contested possessions, that's not a leaders game.

TOB - I know there's love for this guy and he'll stay in because we have nothing else but 2 kicks and missing some sitters isn't good enough.

Tackling was pathetic.

Hard week for everyone at the club, the boys battled but we just couldn't do enough. Hopefully nail the next 3 and get some % and head into the Roos game at 9-3 and 120-130%

Umpire clearly explained he ran into him.

Umpire also clearly explained that the (I think it was Rohan) mishap at the end was deliberately out of bounds.

And the umpire clearly explained the 'play on' call in the dying minutes when you played St Kilda.

Doesn't mean it's right. Tasting your own medicine isn't nice, is it?

I think we have structural issues through the midfield. Mitchell should get tagged each week and if he is quiet the other team relies on a better class of midfield to influence the contest. Our midfielders aren't kicking goals and neither is the half backline. With Hodge out and Roughy at times we are two midfielders down. I think Rioli needs to become a solid midfield rotation for x-factor appeal.

There was alot of nonchalance about Suckling leaving but I wouldn't mind a back / winger with precision kicking and able to bag goals from outside fifty.

I was really looking forward to Langford making a return this year, but i'm almost at the stage where I look away when he kicks it. It's painful to watch.

We'll have the cheque book out aat the end of the year for a quality midfielder for sure.
Thought our mids getting ball were OK. Just how we used it...

Ask Liam Shiels, he'll probably give you a straight out 'no' after his trip on Buddy.
Why the @^$@ would you come here with this rubbish tonight? ! Trolling a board of people who are flat as you can get after a really shite week is bloody pretty piss weak. GO AWAY!

It's an incredibly tough situation
If they were distraught tonight, who's to say it won't continue all year?

Most people here are fanatics.

Their ability to step back and look at what the players were dealing with probably wasn't where it should've been.

This was always going to effect players differently, and be super tough for everyone to get up for.

I know I mentioned Brad Hill and shouldn't but there is being down like the rest of the boys and there is whatever he is doing.

I'm actually a huge fan of his and him and think he was an absolute key to our flags.

Just hard to watch a guy who seems like he's already crossed the border.
One thing I've noticed is he doesn't seem to be sprinting to get around opponents. Seems like he ruining long distance alk the time.

Perhaps he's covering too much ground and doesn't have the tow when needed.
