Was thinking back to 10 years ago - on the radio many hawks supporters going ballistic at clarkos attempted keepings off game - many wanted him gone but he knew what he was doing - I remember at the time it was said he wanted the best big guys and blokes who could kick a footy. Jason Dunstall (one of my favs back in the day) is arguably the most important person in Hawthorns history not only with his colossal career but with the Clarko appointment, and sticking to his guns.

Today's win changes the dynamics of being a Bigfooty Hawthorn supporter.

Think back to everything we have endured since 2008. We've had Geelong idiots telling us we bradburied the flag that year (in hindsight based on what the team has accomplished since its a laughable notion), Sydney bandwagoners rubbing our noses in their COLA-fueled win in 2012, the football world crapping on endless about Ross Lyon and Freo's "greatest pressure ever", along with an endless chorus of variations on "too old, too slow", a football media that has jumped at the chance of a Hawthorn scandal at the smallest opportunity and the AFL Commission doing everything it could to ret*rd our efforts.

The wonderful thing about achieving football immortality is that this playing grounp -and by extension us Bigfooty Hawk supporters- leave all of that behind. We ascend into a rarefied stratosphere where the petty concerns of the past no longer matter. The club has proved everything it could imagine it needed to prove, and then some.

We support the greatest team of the AFL era, the most successful club since WWII, in the greatest sport in the world. We are untouchable.
