Hard to trust a site that can't use "there, their and they're" correctly.
Just incomprehensible that these people are putting their written word in the public domain a) not knowing how to write and b) not getting someone to proofread...

Paying 1 player on your list more than 10% of your total cap is complete madness and a major warning for years to come.

I would predict he will sign somewhere with a club near the 800-900 per year mark when all is said and done.

What about and what will they have to pay their superstar captain and their superstar young forward.
So if you pay Cogs $1.4m, when the captain comes knocking and you pay him $1.4m and your young KPF forward superstar $1m that amounts to $3.8m between three players. There are 35 other players on your Roster
Sustainable !! ??

Foundation to success ?? !!

Good luck to them and the players receiving the superstar bucks.

Alternatively to the argument above.
I am aware we have amended our scales to pay Cogs in line with it, with some players receiving adjustments. This is to pay him about $950k.

What is the sustainable model ??

If true we are all to invested mate. It's time to consider why we miss Lynch now Coniglio.

Money wasn't it for Lynch. Money might be partly it for Coniglio, but you cannot deny the young talent, key position too, the Blues have. Post Bolton they have built hope. Still time to undo this but.

Also, if money was the main motivation it wouldn't make sense to dismiss Saints so quickly. List wise, they're in a world of pain.

Potentially, we are no longer a destination that can get blokes for unders. Potting players for not choosing us places the problem in the wrong direction mate.

And your solution is ???????

Yes to Harley Bennell!

We don't have to give up anything for him, we won't have to pay him much, and if he plays up he'll be shown the door.

If we get his body right he could be a genuine superstar.
It's the free-est of free hits, for one unbelievable talent.

Do you understand the culture destroying repercussions of such management.
Go for it Blues !!!!!
I certainly do.

And as a person who would be happy if Carlton never won another game in my lifetime I'm going to be very interested in how they pay all this glorious youth in two or three years time

What's Cripps worth?

And what effect does the grub have on our culture? What if we have some players who have been high risk takers socially and Harley comes in and encourages that behaviour? Not worth even considering him, the peanut has had 2 legit chances and earned millions of dollars, he deserves nothing more than a clip around his gob.

He has no effect on our culture. Our culture has an effect on him.

Our culture is nothing if 1 player can tear it down.

Bennells been out of the game way too long anyway. Even if by some miracle we get him on the park each week, it’s 4+ years since he’s played serious footy, I can’t imagine the game not have passed him by. Even JOM who missed a lot less footy looks a step behind the talent he once promised, and he’s got the most disciplined mindset you’ll find in a footy club. A coke head with a trail of personal issues in his wake isn’t going to suddenly be able to turn it back on should he actually be fit one day imo....

It’s amazing how many people on here talk about how the media writes crap and makes stuff up about players yet when a player is mentioned to maybe come to the club that some don’t want here the s**t that is said about them by the same media is all of a sudden gospel!!!
Some posters on the board have sources and legit information about players from other clubs.
