Fair call mate, none of my claims have been proven right not a single one.

In saying that I have never ever provided one. This is the first piece of information I’ve provided and I’ve explained why.

Time will tell as they say, let’s wait until the end of the season and see what happens. You are obviously free to believe what you choose.
Fair enough mate, respect your passion. Im off now as I think your mods will be telling me to piss off soon.

Nash and others might be right, Cogs may well have been done to us a while ago. However as of tonight I’m very reliably informed neither chasing club has been informed either way.

As one other poster alluded to earlier, we both may come up short to the dictatorship.

Plenty of water to go under the bridge.

FWIW There are 3 ITK posters who are respected on our board. The one you refer to is viewed as inconsistent but has shown he does know people inside.

However 2 of the 3 big dogs have given the green light for Cogs.

Nothing is certain, but they do have proven track record over a number of years.
To be fair to your itk posters, I think the Carlton football club thought they had shiel last year.

Maybe there’s informed ;) and there’s informed 💰.

God damn I wish it was trade period already...

Is this what being a Saints or Carlton fan is like???

Cant see how they can keep everyone under the cap.
If they keep Cogs they will lose Cameron and Whitfield and others
They keep getting first rounders who are going to want money or opportunity in a few years its an on going issue

RnL, do you/the club beleive that the AFL’s involvement will have an impact on Coniglio’s decision?

I would like to think that Coniglio is stronger than to be bullied by the AFL, whether its Hawthorn or Carlton he would like to go to.

Cogs has no issue with GWS, reportedly loves the place. If he is paid the same or more to stay, plus the captaincy, he has a decision to make.

He was my first thought too but I think the story said he was never coached by Clarko.
I regret posting it as for the blowback it caused. I will leave it as it was someone infinitely more hawthorn than him and one of our most successful ever players. Having the opportunity to do some work with him over the year we caught up at a celebratory function. We sat down had a drink together and I started talking hawks enthusiastically and footy in general with him to see what was going on. I posted what was said and you can imagine me hearing it my reaction was somewhat similar to how my post was recieved. I do not believe any of it to be true but was saddened at the state of the relationship between the player and Clarko that got him speaking like this. He was adamant even knowing how much I love the club, but yes it reeks of someone that is disgruntled after being told to piss off after potentially approaching the club or players to be further involved.

You'd have to think that Gil coming out has coincided with Coniglio telling GWS he wants to go to HFC.

Few days and more smoke will appear.

Reeks of it.. last stitch attempt to play the guilt card on Cogs. Gill hates Hawthorn, hates JK, hates how we rebel against all equalisation measures they put in place.. he is a true corrupt grub.

Caro on Footy Classified last night saying that GWS is the AFL lovechild. I feel sorry to Gold Coast Suns, why the AFL didn't go to the same extent to try retaining their players?

FWIW I don't think Clarko has ever warmed that much to the older generation (80s / 90s) Hawks era. I was always got the feeling when he came to the club that he thought we'd hung on way too much to heroes and memories of the past and we needed to move on from that if we needed modern success. It wouldn't surprise me if he's rubbed a few legends up the wrong way through this attitude.

Don’t think there would be an issue if Cogs was leaving for Carlton
