The protest to keep Ryan Burton is of such epic proportions that I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it before, I feel it’s starting to grow more legs than the Croad trade especially with social media. There’s a Facebook event page with thousands of fans liked, it’s good to see so many fans get behind it.

There is not a chance in the world if Scully is fit we are getting him for a late pick. There is more to this.

I did hear they are looking to offload Patton who is recovering from his 3rd knee reco and will not be back until the end of the season at best. Hope we are not taking on Jon at the same time.

Landsberger. Looks good for us, cause we didn’t flat out refuse port. Hopefully they settle for two firsts and steak knives
Seriously I'm over this two firsts BS. We baulked at two firsts for Shiel why would we give two firsts for Wingard

Yeah sounds pretty fishy, but if we have ample salary cap space I think it’s a great get (Scully).

So if players like Dimma and others have a strong bond with Burton and they’ve been working towards long term goals and all of a sudden he’s on the table ..... they might start thinking f this shit I might start thinking about myself and culture could start going out the window. If Clarko expects team mindset and culture etc, one for all all for one type of stuff, it needs to be consistent and if the rumours are true this could be disruptive to team moral including mine.

However if Burton wants to leave that changes things a lot but from what we hear this is not the case.

Very concerned wit this too. If you dont show loyalty, how can we expect the same from our players and to accept unders to stay, when others come knocking...

I know they say “it’s not what’s on the back of the jumper, but what’s on the inside that counts”, but I’d be very disappointed if we were the ones that instigated this move with a player wearing the number 5. This is THE number at our Club that deserves utmost respect.

I don’t want to lose Burton to Port, and I know sentiment has to be removed during trading time, but it would be an extra bitter taste if the number 5 left for this reason and in this manner.

Yep, the five is sacred. “For the little feller.”

Mind you, maybe Burton’s too big to wear the #5.

I hope he stays.
