Rioli is still a very good get.

I won't be surprised if Roughy gets thrown down back at some stage from now on. Play Franklin one out with Rioli at his feet. Would be a better set up over the ground than what they currently have.

They did that a bit on Friday.....Franklin is dangerous but as long as Scarlo keeps making him lead out wide he poses no major threat.

Our biggest issue was kicking in from behinds...we need to sort that out.

Hawthorn scored very few goals of quality, they were scrappy.

funny thing is you could have had Taylor over Rioli.

True, but wasn't Taylor an older speculative mid-range pick?

Didn't he come from the WAFL, which I can only assume meant he was passed over during his initial drafting-window?

To be honest I'd much rather have Rioli in the long run, the lad's something special - plus we needed someone to put on that forward line pressure, too.

He was our 1st rd pick....he is 22 y.o. (i think).....he was basically cover for Egan early in the season....he is now a season long cover as Egan isnt coming back

Maybe all three Cats (and Hawk) fans, in here, that have successfully completed their VCE might feel obliged to offer a proper response.

Alright I have too much dignity to wade through the tide of shit that's no doubt been spewed forth by Geelong (and Hawthorn) supporters alike.

So I'll just pretend the thread hasn't devolved into a wang measuring contest just yet, to say:

Geelong are far and away the best side this year, not that this should be news to anyone. Because anyone with half-a-brain would've realised this weeks ago, and at the least after last weeks demolition of the Doggies.

As for us, well I can find solace in the fact we're still on the right side of our bellcurve. Unfortunately I think Geelong haven't reached their peak just yet, either.
