Happy for it to be banned but why does it get calls today and not the last four weeks? We’ve been pretty blatant with it

How do you ban something when a player is entitled to stand just behind or to the side and doesnt make contact until the umpire calls play on?

Do you set a time limit on how many seconds you have to count to before you can move against the man on the mark?

Doesn't need a rule change just proper interpretation
Umpire just need to be strict on the ball being within 5 metres. Pay a free kick if not

Yep, it’s a lousy tactic and needs to be adjudicated out of the game.

Player on the mark should just swing arms/elbows back at stomach height while looking forward at player with ball. If opposition player approaches from behind and walks into arm swinging back, its their own fault.
