Are you referring to their 'Non-Essendon' thread? I think you are, but if not, get over there instead! Jade the stupid campaigner is having an absolute meltdown about how people are gushing over Roughead for beating cancer and not their drug cheating players for making their returns. "Waaah waaah! Everyone is trying to make me say nice things about a guy who beat cancer! Waaaaah!". Seriously, Roughy hasn't asked for it. Hawthorn hasn't asked for it. We haven't asked for it. A lot of people are just saying nice things because, unlike him, they aren't shit stains that let footy tribalness get ahead of the good news of a young bloke beating a cancer that likely would have killed him had the diagnosis been as recent as 5 years ago. He literally said part of the reason he's so annoyed about it is because Roughead has a high paying job and access to first class medical services so - get this! - he didn't even personally suffer. What an absolute bell end.
Special huh?

Refer to my recent post in our Dopers thread...

That's the one :D

If you watch the Friday press conference you can tell Rough is a bit embarrassed by the attention - he just wants to get back to his normal life and move on. Compare this to the Druggers who continue to wallow and play victim, or be petulant campaigners like Goddard last week. **** that 'club' and their ostrich campaigner fans.

What a putrid person that Jade seems to be. His comments make for terrible reading.

Check this pearler:

"Funnily enough I actually think that is part of what is shitting me.

A mate of mine was diagnosed with testicular cancer three years ago - eventually actually lost one of the boys (if you catch my drift).

The poor bastard has had to get root canals because of the damage the chemo did to his teeth, went through a severe depression because one of the side effects for him was to put on a shit load of weight, became too ashamed to see his friends because of his appearance.

Got the all clear after three years of nastiness.

And here we have a guy that has one of the highest resourced clubs, in the highest resourced sporting competition in the country, who doesn't have to worry about job security, being able to pay the day to day bills OR those that come with his treatment.

And the group think says I should gush over him?

**** off. **** OFF."

Alright champ - I had to watch my mum die from secondary cancers after having a double mastectomy. Went through a truckload more than some root canals. Fought the good fight for 4 years and gave it everything but couldn't beat it.

What did I do when Roughie got the all clear - shed a bit of a tear and couldn't have been happier for the big bloke. What kind of sick campaigner gets that riled up about someone beating cancer - even if the media do make a big deal out of it?

On comparisons to Adam Ramnaskus' low key return...

From memory did Essendon not request to wear a special jumper with a yellow trim around the left arm hole to honour his beating of cancer. Of which the AFL refused to approve this request. To which Holier than thou Essendon when ahead and wore anyway against a direct order by AFL house...

LoL good one Jade you certified ****stick.

Sorry to hear about your mum. Someone very close to my heart has had a struggle with this insidious disease. 12 months clear so far but never out of the woods with the type it is.

Can be pretty funny sometimes

No amount of funny can excuse his ugliness.

Hopefully they play the same promo tonight , and ull be able to see for urself
Just need to point out here, that this userid is a cheap imitation of the real thing. It has not been sanctioned by grumbleguts inc. ;)

You have mentioned this previously, nothing much can do about it I've used this as a username for years all over the net not changing it now. Besides what could be better then two grumbling people ?

An A grade ********?

To be fair his gripe is not about Ruff per se but the amount of media attention it's receiving. I for one got dead set tired of hearing about good old Bob Murphy and it is at times embarrassing hearing the constant foaming about Cyril and how tiresome and repetitive was all the drug saga bullshit that the bombers put everyone through for three years and now we have to hear all the "good news" stories about these cheats returning to the game

In a sense jade is right (vomit). Ruff would of sat alongside those fighting the very same battle and heard their stories and formed a bond and would be feeling embarrassed about all the attention that he is receiving and just wants to get back to "normal" and start playing football.

We on the other hand love the good news story and will continue to revel in it.

He could just say 'boy the media is going a bit overboard hey?' rather than several posts of bile and vitriol. I know he's not wishing ill will to Roughie - but **** me, it's a big story so of course the media is going to talk it up. I'd rather hear about that than confirmed drug cheats.

Yep hence the wink.

Nathan Schmuck doing his best to advocate for a ridiculous ban for a Hawthorn player.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-02-20/key-hawk-liam-shiels-facing-ban-for-offtheball-hit

At worst it was careless by Shiels who wasn't even looking at the other player.

Frost's tackle was far more dangerous, and yet apparently that is only worth a fine

Noticing a trend with Schmuck.

Trying to remember an incident last season were Schmuck wrote a big article about how a Hawk player was going to cop a big suspension, only for them to either walk free or get just a week.

Can anyone jog my memory here?

Can't remember the player/incident, but pretty sure he was doing a live chat-box thing, I was sending him messages calling him an AFL lapdog which needless to say didn't get into the chat...

...which would make it a straight to tribunal or a verdict that we've challenged (if it's the same incident).

I wouldn't waste my time reading what he says, I personally black listed him some time ago. If what he is writing is as bad as it sounds, their mods must absolutely have no balls. He should be carded.

A "Schmuck" with no balls? Interesting considering the origin of "Schmuck" from the Yiddish "schmock" which means ...

penis

When Rough got unwell I remember talking to a Dr friend of mine (Hawks supporter of course) who said Ruff's chances of survival were really low. Maybe the new treatment is improving chances but i heard he had about 15% chance of surviving.

So was I stoked when I heard all this? F*** yeah.

A lot of supporters of footy were affected by this - me included. i actually don't think the media have been over the top but then again Rough in his interview did talk about how a lot of people were not as lucky etc (which is partly jade's point).

However, many people affected by situations where people were more unlucky have posted on out board wishing him all the best - some have even seen him as a positive and hopeful "message" for want of a better way of looking at it.

So Jade I think is just trying to be controversial. i don't mind that about Jade sometimes - you will sometimes "miss" - but he really missed this time.

If he was just trying to be controversial he'd have said it on the AFL main board or similar. This was just a pathetic little tanty in the depths of the scums board. To the credit of the other Essendon posters there, I don't think any openly agreed with him.
