There won't be a guilty legal outcome before the final list lodgement date. So until then, he'll be treated innocent until convicted.
I agree but scrambling to think of way we minimise harm to our list. Sorry selfish i know but the footy show must go on

I was pretty much referring to the way some footballers will still do whatever they can to get their dicks wet and don't stop to consider the consequences of their actions, irrespective of how many other footballers have landed into this trouble. My comment is a sweeping comment as I have no knowledge of the facts in this case.
True, but have any of them been found guilty?

Guys, lets not do this.

We don't know many facts. We don't need speculation or attempts at piecing it together.

So much this. There is no way that we can come to any kind of meaningful conclusions based on what is out there at the moment. No good will come of it. We can only hope that somehow... I don't even know. Can't see any way this isn't awful somehow.

Just because they aren't found guilty, doesn't mean they are lies.

It's a heavy burden to prove rape, especially when there is generally little evidence.
Definitely true. The fact that the victim allegedly reported straight away (within 24 hours) will probably mean it will be easier to find proof either way- ie there will be more proof that either 'it did happen' or 'it didn't happen'.

Given it happened in a taxi, you'd think the driver should be able to give a pretty good insight into what happened.

Hopefully there is a smoking gun either way.... these kind of cases can be horrible when it's he said/she said.

A bit of perspective, 85% of rape allegations in Victoria aren't charged and 1 in 6 that are charged are found guilty... For every true and correct allegation there's tons more that are blantant lies.

Wow. Just wow. From the report you cited only 2.1% of allegations were designated as false. Way to misunderstand the problem. I was going to frame this post very differently but I don't see any kind of fruitful discussion arising here, so I'll just leave it at that.

Very strange circumstances. How does it take place in the back of a taxi, then how does the alleged victim stay with the alleged offender after this has taken place? Aren't taxis fitted with cameras these days? Hope this investigation doesn't drag out.
My thoughts exactly "PNess"

The jokes being made even by women even on Facebook are surprising.
The jokes made by "female" profiles you mean, no guarantee they are real people or what gender is behind the keyboard.
