Speculation's going to run rampant until we know who the player/s involved are. Much like the Franklin situation its only natural people are curious with so few hard facts to grab hold of.

I hope the club takes a stand on this, we can't afford to have our image tarnished by a player found guilty of sexual assault. After saying that it'd be wrong to assume the player involved is guilty without hearing the facts.

I really hope the girl and her family are ok and well done for coming out about it. She is very brave.
It is really disappointing for the club and the player involved. It just shows how undereducated footballers are about the treatment of women. Still a long way to go.
If the allegations are true

If he is not a premiership player, does that just mean this years grand final or ever a premiership player?

Yeah, I still have a negative opinion on both players for not being suspended.

So I can't really support this player.
The club is the one who didn't suspend the player, are you saying you would have a more positive opinion of the player if they were suspended by their club?

Respect is earnt. She doesn't have my respect, she doesn't have my disrespect.
She is somewhere in the middle (as is every other person I know nothing about)....,

We didn't get to find out why the word bothered you, though.

Settle down or you won't be posting here much longer.

Ummm... Would that be for stating the obvious or for handing out compliments where compliments arent due???

Shouldn't matter when a person registers or how many posts they have put up, as long as it's respectful then everyone is entitled to voice their opinion...

Maye the "moderator" title of some should be changed to "dictator" because without the right to freedom of speech then what's the point of anyone posting anything on any subject???!!!

If you have a problem with moderation then use the PM function.

Potting Moderators will not be tolerated.

And the players would all have been educated on what is and isn't OK, that a short skirt is not an invitation, that if a girl says yes and then changes her mind you stop.
There are no excuses

And you would hope that if someone changes their mind that their request is heeded. If not, then they deserve all that they get.

Is it bad that I'm relieved that it's not a premiership player and the one whose name has been so freely bandied about on the main board. It doesn't change the fact that I'm appalled by the situation and I wish nothing but the best for the young girl in question - I'm just relieved it wasn't the young man being talked about.

Nothing proven, allegation only.

99.9% of people - I hope the the 'young lass who (apparently) caught a late night taxi with two footballers' (I'd. the 'LADY') is ok. Hang the animals who did this!!!!

0.01% of people. A 19 year old (apparently) goes home with two footballers (not a lady in my book). Gets r*ped. Terrible. Mortifying. But DOES NOT reset her status to a 'lady'.

That's understandable. Which name is being bandied about?

Yes, but attire isn't an excuse to rape someone. That prevailing attitude disturbs me more than what people choose to wear while out and about.

I agree, and I don't think I said that attire was an excuse to rape someone. Being female myself, I just wonder why some women feel the need to put themselves out there like that.

I think it's perfectly fine to feel slightly relieved that the guys we've spent the most time admiring and supporting look to be in the clear.

That's not to say that you have a lack of care for the other players, but you'd most certainly have stronger feelings if one of our leaders was pinpointed over one of our rookies, as you don't have the connection, and haven't built up the admiration or knowledge of them and their character.

I wouldn't think many club supporters would be differnet in that regard.
