Whilst I do not know the details of the case allegedly involving two Hawthorn Football Club players, there are many young women out there who want to "bag a footballer". Think Kim Duthie a few years back. Or the woman Steven Milne allegedly r*ped.
Sadly, some of them say "yes" when they really should say "no". Why go home with someone you've just met, and barely know?
And then, if things DON'T go the way they've planned (ie the guy DOESN'T want a relationship with them), some of them will cry "rape".
At the B&F last week, there were plenty of young and some not-so-young lasses with **** a-kimbo, and headbands for skirts hoping one of the young boys would throw a lustful glance or three their way.
Sadly these days, it seems to be the way of the world.

"Contrary to recent media reports, there is one Hawthorn Football Club player currently under investigation by Victoria Police. That person is not a premiership player," the statement said.

Risk of getting carded here, but for the sake of debate, doing it anyway....

A 19 year old girl (apparently) caught a taxi home with two, most likely large, and almost certainly sexy, hawthorn players. And I am sure she knew they were hawthorn players (or perhaps she often catches taxi's with random blokes, who knows).

Is what (allegedly) happened right? or acceptable? HELL NO.
If found guilty, should they be delisted and jailed? HELL YES.

But young 'LADY'? Spare me.

* drops mic, cowers in corner....

What in the absolute **** are you on about? This is the most incoherent victim blaming I've ever read - and that's quite the achievement.

Why does that word bother you? She is undeserving of your respect?

Yes, but attire isn't an excuse to rape someone. That prevailing attitude disturbs me more than what people choose to wear while out and about.

And the players would all have been educated on what is and isn't OK, that a short skirt is not an invitation, that if a girl says yes and then changes her mind you stop.
There are no excuses

Would it be a good idea to suspend the player until it goes to court or we find out more?
We don't know what the allegations are or if it will get to charges being laid.
Not sure what is in the CBA on this on either. North played Majak this year, Milne and others have played in the past, impossible to say what will happen.

Yeah, I still have a negative opinion on both players for not being suspended.

So I can't really support this player.
