The past players in this instance are a massive red flag about the allegations especially considering Burgoyne knew nothing. The ABC published it without even contacting them for a right of reply. Yes, Hawthorn commissioned a report who didn't bother themselves with testing any of the allegations. I mean, yeah what could go wrong with that.

If you listen to Caroline Wilson, I think you'll find that the author did contact the clubs. As to the AFL maintaining confidentiality by not telling Golden Boy Clarkson what was in the report...have a listen to the interview with Mick Warner I posted in Media Nods Head and form your own opinion.
This was a report into what First Nation people experienced. The investigation into the allegations gives all parties the opportunity to present their position.

That story from Eddie Betts is very reminiscent of something Shelley Ware wrote on twitter only recently. She and her teenage son were shopping for a piece of jewellery for her son and the staff in one store treated them disgracefully. They weren't allowed to try on or even handle anything themselves and I think they were even made to stand well away while the staff member unlocked one of the display cases. They were made to feel like criminals. Needless to say they walked out without buying anything, but it was a terrible experience for her and her son.
