Here’s another way to think of it....IF we’ve offered up Burton and the deal has been knocked back as reported, hopefully that means we won’t try any more deals with Burton involved and work out another way to get the deal done.

Remember last year (or the year before?) when everyone was putting Breust in conversations and that Hawks would have to include him in trades to get anything done, and that we should trade him to GWS.

Burton is this year's Breust.

Not going anywhere. Not even slightly.

They could put pick 1 on the table and we'd say no, because he's a 21 year old gun, extremely happy at Hawthorn and mid contract. Burton is what you would want your pick one to BECOME.

I might be imagining this, but wasn’t there rumors about Breust and/or Poppy being offered while under contract a couple years back but neither wanted to go so whatever deal was being considered fell through?

I guess I’m just looking to hold on to something until I get facts. I’d be pretty upset if we traded Burton out!
