Some of this speculation is looking to be like fact.

A couple things to fall into place and I believe it will be on. Collingwood are ready.

You can certainly add it to the short list.

Gee I hope you're right mate, the next best option on the market that is gettable in terms of key forwards is certainly Darcy Moore. The great thing here is his wage would be significantly less than TL, leaves us in a position to perhaps go harder at a Gaff. The downside is we would need to trade for him.

Oliver is a bit different, his development wasn't just over that pre-season. He went from an unfit jet of a player with no work ethic in the under 18s, to a jet of a player with no work ethic in 2016 and in 2017 really put all the pieces together.

Worps is a bit different in that he's already fit and in shape, already has the work ethic - don't really think we'll see that level of progression.

Very early call on Worps, he seems to me to be more Coniglio/Boak (in his prime) than Oliver. I think he will be a constant 25p player for his career, how damaging he is I don't know, but from what I have seen he will be a very very good ball winner for the next 10-12 years.

Is this because any of Mitch McGovern / Shiel / Wingard are looking unlikely?

In any event I think a 22 year old key position player would be good business (at the right price). He's a great size and is athletic. I'd be surprised if the Pies are looking to part company though, they are hardly blessed for KPP.

Ticks the Age Profile Box.

Dependant on them securing another KP which they are now apparently confident about.
It will have effect on other business because we have to trade, but there will be other room and the TL scenario is hotting up behind the scenes. Still nothing on Gaff.

Has this KP’s name been discussed in any trade news before or is it from left field?

Remember the times the ball would be bombed in long and we looked cooked and Goo would back his body into oncoming traffic and win a contest for us!!!! I miss that as much as his kicking.

(Apologising in advance Gralin and Abasi as this should probably fit in the reminiscing thread if we had one)
I thought Doc could do this role, but nah

I can’t get excited about Moore.

All promise and little delivery.

To be honest we should be chasing May as hard or even harder than Collingwood - doesn't fit age profile - but a sure KPD allows Gunston/Sicily/Burton all to spend more time forward

How does he not fit our age profile?? He's only 26! At least 4-5 good years left in him at a minimum.

100% should we be going hard for May.

I just hope we lose tomorrow night so the real season can begin.

If you've been paying attention to the media mad Monday is a lock in for next week. Might as well pull up a seat at the trade table and start cracking some deals.
