fair enough point on the white hills rooms emu, but dont forget, the hillies dont have it any better and im sure that they are trying to alleviate the problem, i remember ten years ago the council came and said bowl the old rooms over, and since then havent had much help in rectifying that problem. and with the drought and all, our farms aint goin as well as the ones out tooleen way.

I might be the cat that ran away with the fiddle and the cow that jumped over the MOON!
Ha
If you support the Carlton FC I think i might know who you are.
Good game at H'cote with Slim (Waters) kicking his 101 goals for the year !
Lets hope the saints can go all the way this year :)

Just been to mounts elmore at tooleen and was there a turn up. Pleasant winning by about 50 points or something.

A turn up? The Mounts seniors havent lost for a long time, Elmore is out of form and the last time these two played Mounts lost by 13 points with many players out.

Mounts and Elmore should play off only because of the double chance for Elmore.

Broadford held their B & F counts yesty with results pretty much as expected.

Seniors - Daniel Fletcher from Chris Dunne
Reserves - Bray from Tom Webster
Thirds - Matt Williams from Matt Coomans

Good to see Fletch have a full season of footy, any one that's seen him play nows how good he can be! Skip will give the league medal a real shake in the twos and just good to see Tommy back playing footy. Hey Doona, has Broady always held there B&F after the home and away games? Just seems odd not to count the votes at the most important time of the year!!!

Can tell you Fridge that the Roos rarely have their B&F count this early. The only other time I can remember lately was in about 1999 when no Broadford made the final campaigns. The count down here is usually held the Sunday after the HDFL Grand Final.

But I think the B&F count is the last thing on the minds of people down here. I did hear there may have been some form a major disagreement around the Club last week. Beard, maybe you have heard some more on this.

Not a thing Wok. Not sure there was or is any problem. I was in attenedance Sat and Sunday and all was rosie. Funny day with a few of the boys 'topping up' after saturday night and providing a lot of laughs.

Twos made it thru. bad luck colbo and I believe we're playing elmore at Lockington on Sunday. Is there a worse trip to make for the year (Should be a good trip home tho)!!!

Unlike beard to play anything with such a dead bat like he just did to the Wok - must be focusing on a big finals campaing ;)

Well boys (and possibly ladies). 2 Cracking senior games this week in the HDFL Finals

Mounts V LBU
Mounts are right in form. Dennis Ryan didnt play the second half last week suffering a bit of tightness in the lower back and hammy. No doubt he'll be right though. LBU had the bye and will be fresh. But which LBU side will show up? the committed side, or the one that gets a little intimidated about the opposition? There's also the reunion of MR Dalton and the Martin Brothers!

Saints V Hoppers
Saints deserve favortism no doubt, but Colbo have got better as the season progresses. LTTM it was a close battle with the saints up by 3 gls. Colbo play LBU's ground well and will be a full strength for the first time this year. 2 Gun FF's playing in this one too, might be a shootout.

They tell me hj32 that Trav Kelly is the in form backmen there at colbo at the moment. Would this have anything to do with the leadership responsibilities he has taken on?

I too have heard that 'Tilt' Kelly has been slaying them down back reminiscent of the great Sydney Full back Rocket Rod Carter.
There is talk that he should be filling a more Brad Hardie type role and running down the ground and snagging a few Sausages roles. Does anyone know the last time he kicked a goal?

Just picked up the local and read on the back page that Farmer will not be coach next year, after much speculation around town that he had already been apointed, unless his application is the successful one.

Yeah, to Broadford!! :)

Both Mounts games should be good ones. The ones are on fire and easily premiership fav's at the moment. The twos were lucky to get over the line on the weekend after going to sleep at 3/4 time when they were 5 or 6 goals up. Heathcote have provided a good challenge, and are hard at it, so it will be another tough one.

i ponder this???? can elmore win the flag without a recognised ruckman or will they end up the same as they did a couple of years ago and be bundled out in straight sets

and since we have come to that stage of the year where, the sun shines, the weathers warm and its perfect weather to have a few cans how are the injuries at the clubs, that are ving for the cup???
mounts , elmore , colbo, heathcote and locky????
does anyone know if byrne for locky and o'bree for heafcut will make it back this season

Roo Byrne may be a chance for the second week of the finals Andy but propably not until the prelim! So if LBU gets bundelled out in staight sets his season may be over! Palmer should return this week from a hammy! Not sure how O'Brees going.
Mounts have now earnt the rite to be flag favourites i think but any one in the top 5 on there day is a real show, which makes for a great HDFL finals series!!!

This weekends final between colbo and heathcote will be very interesting. Colbo fielding their best time for the first time for the season will show that they are true contenders for this years flag. Der Kirkpatrick is back playing great footy after a period of time with injuries and having the luxury of resting key player damien lock will give him the much needed rest he needed and will dominate this w/e's final. Having the game at LBU will play into colbo's hands with a wide open ground with sunny conditions that will suit their running and very skillful players. If colbo are to get through this w/e's final i think that they will show that they are a very big worry to all teams.

NEW COACH FOR ROOS
North Central Review
August 29, 2006

Broadford will advertise the position for Senior Football Coach after the club holds its Annual General Meeting on October 18.

There has been some speculation about whether the Club will retain the services of current Senior Coach Peter Brown but President John Berger was diplomatic when her told The Review that BFNC will advertise the position.

"The rules of association say that we have to advertise the position. So whoever is president and the committee will decide on that," said Berger, who intends to run for president again.

The committee instated at the club's AGM will have the responsibility of appointing all coaches for the 2007 season.

Brown was appointed coach in November 2005, replacing Ross Andrews.

Similarly to last season, the senior side missed the finals, finishing with six wins and 10 losses.

Saw Adam Dalton running the river earlier today. The man looks extremely fit.

Did he kick a bag last week? Is he a big difference to the Mounts since he was recruited?

Dalton kicked 5 as the Mountain Men inflicted a 56 point win over the top of the table Elmore. Combine him with Dennis Ryan (103 goals) and the Mounts are shortening in premiership betting every hit out.

hear obree did not train and no pioneer players this week cant play twice on one weekend

I heard the Heathcote Pioneers kids Fetherstone and Anderson had a choice and were likely to play with the Saints.
Should be too great games this weekend and you could make a case for all four sides to win.

On a seperate matter it hasn't been confirmed that the Prelim final will be at W/Hills. The Demons will be hosting it and get the benefits of the catering it but it may not be played their yet. Colbinabbin has offered to let them host it at their ground. Hopefully there is a good squirt of rain around the corner and there is one final in Bendigo this year.

Week 1 - Colbo to upset Heathcote, Mounts easily over LBU.
Week 2 - Mounts easily over Elmore, LBU just over Colbo
Week 3 - LBU over Elmore
Week 4 - Mounts over LBU by 6-7 goals

My opinion only lads so dont all jump on me

im with you doona. i think it wil be a mounts and cats granny.
although i think that if heathcote can get back the two young fellas from the pio's i think they could be a real smokey
