Was told last Sunday that Fletch and Rowbo had been spoken to by Nyah Nyah which aint a problem, Satdy the whisper at our praccy game was Leitchville Gunbower so dunno what to believe - all I know is that when I offered Ray a run to test his dodgy (so I thought) knee he said he had a few good offers and didnt know what he was doing which says to me he aint playing.

It's hard putting energy into guys that dont wanna play for ya and by still talking to clubs means there aint a 100% commitment to play at this late stage which is a slap in the face to the kids - Fletch has been 100% loyal and never played anywhere else but B'ford in an amzing career to date. He said he will be along this week for a chat, fingers crossed for the kids sake he see's what we are trying to do and sticks around to help guide these young fellas who absolutely adore him

If he is not willing to have a crack at a practise match then you would have to think broady can do without ray, but i think fletch would be the difference between possibly not making the finals, and a top three finish. All class.

On a lighter note anybody witness the broady fullback run the length of the ground to get a "shot" on goal. Classic scarlett one feels.

My tips:
Colbo by 28pts
L-B United by 51pts
Heathcote by 75pts
Elmore by 3pts
Scoop, don't be giving big Matty and the WH boys any ammo there will you! They're going to be OK I think. I agree with your tips but not the margin in the Heathcote/WH game, 35 point margin to Heathcote. Wonder if Gilabbey will be kicking around the league this year with Dunneytalk???

Doona its guys like Rowbo you have to keep putting the energy into, hell mate he bleeds the Roos blood he may be a bit mixed up about things but it clearly looks like he has not sighned for any other club, so keep at him he is the type of player guys like me come along and have a look at broady games, hard at it never gives up, that he requirs some work at this stage of his carreer should not stop you RING HIM NOW mate dont give up untill there is nothing left to offer.

I know exactly what ya saying but what's with this "RING HIM NOW before there is nothing left to offer?" What does that say about a bloke like Sam Taylor, grew up Broady bleeds for the joint as much and drives up from Melb etc for the minimum.

Dont take it the wrong way, just reading between the lines is all, and if he is'nt sighned to any other club i suppose i was just thinking he's still a chance to play with you guys, and as i said i like the way he plays, trust me mate i meant nothing against any other player from your club.

Cheers - Ray and Fletch are both about 21-22 games off life membership I think which to me would be a huge honour at any football club

Your right it's better by a fair margin. One LV club based the majority of their recruiting campaign around getting handy reserves players from the Premier club and they believe they are in for a much better season for gaining them so that an indication also.

They didnt "base" their whole campaign around it its just how it turned out if you are referring to the club I think you are. Do you honestly think that any coach would only ring reserves players from one club during the off season? Then go back to the club and say "well we have managed to entice some players from........... most of them predominantly played 2's last year and a couple more are regular senior players so im done with my recruiting now and I believe we are in for a much better season!!" ................of course they wouldnt. Have a think about it genius.

Hey doona... and Wok..just thought i'd let u know that their were a few injuries from the Cricket trip away... Take a look at the broadford CC page on face book... u'll find some of it funny

geez i hope nothing too bad  Last time we went to Adelaide was 03/04 for Rowdy Gleeson's engagement doo, on the Thursday night Big Pete decided to take on the security staff at Heaven, somehow in the scuffle did the ankle which in turn was actually fractured, which meant we (Yea) on the verge of round 1 was a big man short for the season . . . . top trip though

You're closer to all this than most mate - on a lighter I couldn't believe my eyes when the big fella Sambo took off, just remind me what happened with the shot on goal

I think his last quarter effort (left foot snap) looked more conventional :thumbsu:

I said they based the MAJORITY OF THEIR RECRUITING CAMPAIGN not their whole recruiting campaign. The guys that Marong have recruited from Elmore reserves appear to be better players than what was on the park out there last year so of course they would be more content. Don't complain Hound this is your chance to string a few senior games together.....

Just a bit of craft from the backman i think. Lead everybody to believe it was a shot and then just dropped it 5 meters short to a team mate in front. Genious.

Seems hard to believe that these 2 blokes don't know what they are doing for the season yet and that the club doens't have an answer from them either way.

Bloods bonus!! Hayes stays with Reigning Premiers.
April 7th, 2008

Elmore Coach Tony Southcombe confirmed today that star forward and century goal kicker Ryan Hayes would again strip for his home club as the Bloods shoot for Back to Back Premierships.

Hayes who spent time in the Northern Territory over the summer playing with the Nightcliff Tigers was the recruiting target of many clubs around the area including Moama, Rochester and Tatura.

Hayes has played in the Bloods two practice matches victories over Loddon Valley Clubs Mitiamo and Serpentine although could be in for some goal kicking practice before this weeks round 1 match against Mt.Pleasant as Southcombe estimated his trump card had returned 2 goals 16 behinds for the two practice matches.
