Tom Harley says hi
Actually i think the team as a whole lacks a real leader. There's no Brown or Kirk or Pav or yes even Harley (best captain in the comp).

Ling is in the side because he is the best tagger in the league, kicks goals, averages 24 disposals, is extremely hard, and has excellent leadership qualities.
Look at his job on Harvey 2 weeks ago. Butchered him.
The Herald Sun journalists have had there go at selecting an All-Australian like team. Looks okay at first glance. Not sure about Judd being in the side let alone vice-captain. 7 Cats make the 22. Thoughts?
The team is:
B: Dale Morris, Matthew Scarlett, Sam Fisher
HB: Luke Hodge, Nathan Bock, Corey Enright
Mids: Dean Cox, Chris Judd (vc), Gary Ablett, Adam Cooney, Jimmy Bartel, Cameron Ling
HF: Steve Johnson, Nick Riewoldt (c), Matthew Richardson
F: Lance Franklin, Brendan Fevola, Brent Harvey
Int: Joel Corey, Drew Petrie, Simon Black, Robert Murphy
Coach: Mark Thompson

Typical no Collingwood Players
swap ling for kane cornes or selwood and thats a mighty side
yeh, I'd have Mitchell in before Ling.
Ling onto the bench for Black, just in case a tagger is needed.
Judd on the field ahead of Joel Corey, and VC.
Typical no Collingwood Players
Hmmm... he did when our B&F in 2005 when we had an average season.LOLOLOLOL Corey might lead the comp in possessions but how many of them possies have been uncontested? Judders is class through and through, leads the comp in contested possessions and has had no support to Corey. Judders cops the number 1 tag every week while Corey is usually allowed to roam free.
Corey I would say is nowhere near him and the level of Bartel and Ablett and I would probably rate him lower than J. Selwood too. Mitchell, both McVeigh's and Lukey Power had a better year than Corey. Corey was lucky to even get a spot on the pine.
I think he's just one of those 'good players in a legendary team who looks 100 times better than he actually is' players.
Which players do you think should have gotten in? I'd say the only one with a chance was Medders and Didak. Both were pretty unlucky not to have been chosen.

Hense his point.
Dane Swan smashed Ling in round 9, I rate Kornes a better tagger.
Hell yes
Compare him to all the other captains in the comp? best leader, on and off field.
If he got AA captain, it would be quite fair.
I'd say remove ling and it's about right...
You should have the competition's leading clearance-getter in the team.
Riewoldt for captain is an absolute joke. The rest looks quite good.
Franklin should also be full forward. Just because Fev is a one-trick pony doesn't mean he should get the prime position.
