Lol, didn't Hird get some injections on site?
Exactly.... Dean was rather jab happy without any qualifications to do so... would have thought that would be enough had the club been allowed to charge him in court.

Seems like he was happy to administer to anyone close to him, including his pregnant wife...

Hird wanted 'redacted' boner issues removed from the Federal Court Case.
The CEO looked as tanned as Hulk Hogan in the middle of a Melbourne winter.
Goodwin wanted 'the good stuff'.
It's safe to say there was a "pharmacological experimental environment" going on,not only for the playing group.
They still have a pair of 2's bluff going on at the river.
And no paddle's to boot.

She isnt an apologist, she's just not prepared to take the popular view. I expect or to be tough, if not I'll be disappointed

Have you seen her interview a labor minister, then a liberal one?

No. It doesn't actually spell that out.

But I was comfortably satisfied, that seen as it was a stoush between Hird and Bomber, that was the case. Not much of a leap.
The reason Hird was in the discussion was because he wanted Robinson fired, while Bomber wanted to retain him. It wasnt a battle over who wanted to be in charge. Interestingly Bomber is clearly a big fan of Robinson but not Hird

Dank had no qualifications to do so either but the club put him in charge of an injection program

Ummm not the case at all.... The club put him in place of administering a suppliments program. very different to giving him the authority to give injections... He had no authority to give injections, although we know that he didnt follow this.

I've wondered myself how anyone could allow someone other than a trained medical professional to inject their employees to whom they owe a duty of care.

The mind absolutely boggles at what key decision makers at Essendon were thinking.

Screw the players they were the ones getting injected, screw the football department they were a bunch of drug dealers, screw doc Reid he should have stepped in and stopped this, stuff the board they allowed this to happen under their watch, just please please leave Hirdy alone he had no idea how could he have known this was happening he was only the head coach??

Hird’s claims don’t wash with me.

He has been some adamant, so unequivocal about the status of what the players took that to now claim that he was essentially a casual observer to the whole thing means he is either lying now or he was lying earlier (my definition of lying includes making definitive statements that you simply cannot be confident of).

However the other aspect of all this makes me disbelieving of Hird’s story is that lack of reporting on the DCF’s. This lack of reporting, in my mind, clearly shows that the players were in on the plan to keep the supplements program secret. It is inconceivable to me that the players would be party to such a secretive arrangement without the express support of Hird (and Bomber Thompson to be fair). Further the statement from Mark McVeigh (para 160 of the arbitrage award), that if he knew then what he knows now he would have gone straight to Hird’s office or done something else, indicates that Hird had some sort of involvement and authority over the program.

S. Pete

"You know I read a book on world doping while away and once lay people start injecting players there are always issues!! We must be careful for a host of reasons." Corcoran to Hird.

"No stress but need to organise a meeting with you me Reidy, Danksy and Weapon (Robinson) the day you get back. Reidy has stopped everything which is getting a little frustrating. Need to get your United Nations skills back into action''. Hird to Corcoran.

Hird: "Good work today mate, the boys were up and about, we have a lot to work with.
Dank: "IVs start next week and Thymosin with Uniquinon. We will start to see some real effects.
On April 3, Dank detailed more substances:
"We have cerebrolysin, we will re-oxygenate and re-circulate the brain. We will also be getting Solcoseryl."

Plenty of reasons that the club could stand him down. He had already have his power removed at the end of 2012. Plenty of dodgy actions associate this bloke... but the AFL moved too quickly, demanded he be removed and then just needed it to go away as it was a case they didnt need at that time.

Dank was one of his direct reports... that is probably enough it itself.

Administering drugs to employees onsite is probably another

A terrible year of injuries would be enough in itself.

WOWWEE Players broke down simply because of the illicit drugs built them up too fast and their bodies couldnt handle it .

In other words the drug regime placed a Supercharged V8 into Kia Rio with no upgrades to brakes :)

He and Bock will get that notice when ASADA get around to it.....

With respect to the essendon case... Robinson has spoken.... 4 times to ASADA in fact as they loved what he had to say as it supported the direction that they wanted to head with the interim report. Hird was interviewed once BTW... STRANGE????
I would say Hirds testimony was treated with the disdain it deserved, if the crap he's currently sprouting is anything to go by. I would say they re interviewed Dean four times because he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, and they could trip him up.

Ummmmm because Hird and the club respected the process... get Dank, Robinson and Charters were not restricted by the club or AFL. Robinson also spoke out for cash. He has also received a massive payout from the AFL and ESS. So here is a bloke who is happy to make $$$ off the back of loss by all other parties in the sad affair. Quality individual we have there.... then again probably what you would expect from a bloke who was happy to inject players, support staff and his own family with suppliments! Oh and then of course lets not forget selling CJC to AFL footballers and instructing them on how to administer.
See this is where you are getting confused. You think people believe Dean Robinson over James Hird. When the truth is, we put them both on the same level. Equally untrustworthy.
