Maybe clean up the AEW thread to where people were comparing cage matches and show formats.

Ignore him, full stop. He’s pathetic
I gave him the benefit of the doubt as IMO he’s one half of the best tag team of all time. But he’s talking like he’s some heel character shooting an angle. What’s he trying to get heat for? He’s not coming to AEW to put over a babyface. Nobody wants that.

Can't find any posts comparing cage matches. I just see people talking about the International Title Tournament.

I guess it counts as tribalism if I point out WWE touring UK on the weekend AEW Forbidden Door is in London?

After 3 years in Las Vegas Double or Nothing is in Arizona. A month earlier WrestleMania is in Las Vegas.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggghhhtt... I've got a bridge I'm selling mate, you
They are doing these tours all over the world all year long. They’ve done what 6 or 7 PLE overseas in the last 12 months?

And it's a complete coincidence that these dates in the UK, are around AEW Forbidden Door in the UK??

They tour the world and both have different audiences? So what if they are in the country at the same time. Do you think AEW will lose out because of them being there?

If they did a PPV id understand but look to be house shows which I imagine most wouldn't choose them over Forbidden Door.

Maybe because I like both companies, but to me looks like a win for fans that get to see a lot of wrestling in Europe? Could almost make a trip out of it.

Spot on, events have been hanging off the coat tails of Wrestlemania weekend forever. Just enjoy the fact there’s a chance of an entire trip like your saying and can watch both.

Some people just can’t take the blinkers off at all and see it for what it actually is.

My point is you're either extremely naive, being deliberately obtuse, or just plain ol' stupid.

Of course AEW will lose out due to shows being in the same region. Not everyone can afford to go to both, and its only natural that a company that is 40+ years old, will be more popular than a company that's been around six, so there's a decent chance those that can only go to one, will go to the WWE, unless a particular individual actually prefers shock horror the product AEW gives its fans (tbf, given how crazy UK fans are, I'm probably under estimating how many may actually prefer AEW over WWE).

For the past 20 years or so, WWE have gone to the UK in April/May, and then again in November. That's a pretty good sample size to say that's a consistent pattern. Now this year they decide to go in August also?? And you want to say it's not deliberate? C'mon man...

I'm not even saying its a bad idea by Fed decision makers, of course you do what you can to hurt your competition. Its a war, they're not trying to be friends. But please don't blow smoke up my arse by saying it's a coincidence. There's no such thing as coincidence.

It’s not a war you could argue NXT v AEW head to head was a war but if you think WWE and AEW are competing then your in dreamland. WWE scale is mega and they would be crushing AEW in just about any metric you can find.

Do you think they care about AEW? They’ve openly stated they want to get bigger and doing more globally consistently. They did Aus in Feb last year and change to Oct this year, pretty sure they’ve had different times for France and Germany to.

I think your reading to much into dates and where they are. WWE are going to be doing more of these tours and TV internationally like doing Raw and Smackdown down here now because of the Netflix deal the time difference doesn’t matter as much.

People will go to whatever they enjoy more and AEW have a loyal fan base I don’t think it’s going to impact their attendance at all.

It's wild to me that anyone thinks this wasn't a deliberate move by WWE, AEW announced their show over 6 months ago.

And I love it! It's carnyism that harkens back to the 80s and 90s, it makes me feel like we have genuine competition in wrestling again.

I think Triple H likes it too. He's constantly given AEW a lot more credit and attention than it deserves (eg. the "Wednesday night Wars", the Ospreay whinging, the Vaquer signing, and now this), he's creating more competition than what really exists - cos like Vince, I think he kind of gets off on the competition, he wants AEW to become something worth beating.
