I always disliked the promo bit "Remember these songs from earlier in the year!" then they play like 10 s of three songs. Although to be fair they often don't make it into the count. I remember having a look at it back when I did my 100 lists.

I maintain the Creases only got a record deal because Joe's tumblr had about 30,000 followers at the minimum. Dude was pretty popular on there. Good luck to him, I don't care, most bands only get heard through cliques, favours, luck, and nepotism anyway. I personally think they've really stuffed it up though... they keep changing their sound and their EP was too lost in between pop melodies and shoegaze.

I really liked their EP. Massive step away from the sound of their singles, but I thoroughly enjoyed what they did with it. It wasn't anywhere near as bad as Bleeding Knees Club, who went from an EP of catchy, jangly surf pop to an album of Blink-182 abortion shit.

I don't really know about them beyond the music. There is a talent to pumping out a lot of decent songs quickly, though. I have a friend who couldn't tell you the first thing about a guitar or how you're meant to play it, but could write 5 songs on one in half a day.
