Yes, they went into extra detail for her last moments, the music and the facial expressions.

As far as I remember we didn't get the same for Aegon, so I wouldn't be shocked if he somehow survived.

For a dynasty that have been riding dragons for centuries you would think some bright spark would have invented the parachute!

Landing on a dragon would soften the fall, a bit like when Jason Bourne threw himself down a tall stairwell with the dead bad guy under him.

It would have been a big explosion but Aegon might have some fire resistant properties. We saw blood (or some other liquid?) from his dragon fall on some soldiers and it looked like it killed them. So there's that too.

I suppose we don't know 100% that Rhaenys died either. But very likely after we saw the resigned look on her face as she and her dead dragon dropped out of the sky and landed on the castle.
The stats on surviving a dragon crash are pretty poor ..even less so if drink riding as Aegon was. He’s a bloody idiot

Wasn't that Bond in casino royale?

So in the final episode.. are we going to learn.

What the connection between Qmir and the witches is?
What's the connection between greenhead and these events?
What the connection between greenhead and Qmir
Why did Torbin kill himself?
Who killed Tanaca and why?
What the vergence means, was it investigated, how does it impact Phantom / Anakin
Who is Qmirs master?

A lot of resolve in what another 30 minute episode? I feel a lot of exposition dump happening or alternatively.... a cliff hanger which as I've previously said would be laughable

Bond did encounter a dragon, of sorts, in the very first Bond movie.

The Island of Dr No (Crab Key) was supposed to be protected by a dragon. It turned out to be a bulldozer, equipped with a flame thrower, designed to scare away anyone venturing close to the villain's lair.

And in Skyfall, Bond fights 2 Komodo Dragons.

Just watched latest ep…what a ripper..last 20 mins highlight of the season so far. I too hate cruelty to animals but they’re dragons ffs! If Aegon survives that I’ll..I’ll ..spew up!!

Lol my wife got sad about the dragon getting hurt, had to keep pointing out it was cgi. Guess all animal pain in movies is "fake" and it doesn't help..

Always fun coming into a thread and seeing spoilers from a totally different TV show. The original post has since been deleted. The reply to it hasn’t, so the post might as well have never been deleted.

Was funny to those of us who don’t watch that particular show.

How can anyone have any affinity for these characters? At least the Dragons had their time in the sun, the actors in this one are as interesting as watching concrete set. The best of the lot was Milly Alcock, but she's gone now! Stone faced Darcy is a bore.
What about Daemon, Corlys, Alicent, Aemond, Cole - they're all quite indellible characters. I think Rhaneyra (Darcy) is just as interesting as Danerys from GoT in my opinon.

Also, interesting characters can be about relationships. In this show we have

Daemon + Rhaenyra
Alicent + Rhaenyra
Alicent + Criston
Alicent + Aegon
Aegon + Aemond

Daemon + Alys Rivers might develop. One of those Youtube analysis dudes reckons a piece of dialog when she was off-screen might have been the voice of Carice van Houten who played Melisandre in GoT.

I'm hoping for some Daemon v Aemond action. They are both smart with big dragons. Daemon has tried to kill Aemond. If Aegon is dead that means Aemond is king but regardless he's been running Team Green. Daemon's trippy dream had him following himself but wearing an Aemond eye patch.

I think Darcy is doing a great job. When Rhaenyra found the dragon and her son was heartbreaking.
