Haven't gone back past page one here but almost all the threads are a sledge or troll toward Collingwood.

Hows about some praise for the Lions?

The showed the gulf between them and the other 15 teams.

In the past month.

Beaten by Collingwood. Collingwood played great football and choked the Lions.

But then...

Smashed Adelaide who had pretentions to win the flag

Smashed Sydney in Sydney in front of 72,000 Sydney fans when Sydney looked likely to run over them in Qtr4. We all know what happened.

Today.

OK, enjoy trolling and sledging, but have a think about Brisbane and how your team will challenge them in the next two or three years.

Eddie mcGuire may yet be proven correct regarding the Brisbane cap, and we may all have to join him, if we want to see another team win before 2006.

The Lions are/were sensational, that is not in dispute at all. What has got everyone backs up is all the Pies nuff-nuffs who have been spruiking their waffle for so long. Time they copped a bit now that their team has been exposed as serial wimps !!

Christ JB. How can it be a positive thread if your most important point is the salary cap concessions.

I'm going to be blunt, and, I hope positive.

Regardless of who they are, or how they were brought together, it should be a great privilege for all football fans to be able to see this incredible football team win three straight premierships.

Lets save the discussions about the cap for October, at the earliest, shall we?

Fair point. Was meant to sound a warning to the other clubs that the Lions are far and away the best team for decades.

The cap concession bit was a throwaway line. I have always slagged Eddie for his whinging about the concessions, and there is so much more to winning a flag than just a cap concession, but I really cant see another team on the horizon for two years who will challenge the Lions.

It is an ominious thought for the other 15 teams.

Why can't we bag Collingwood? These would be the same ferals on here bagging us when/if we lose a Grand Final ... and considering all the **** they've given out this year and their constant reminders on how superior their team is to ours ...

Is there something wrong with being branded the second best team in the comp ATM when the only team better than us has won the last 3 flags?? I find that very comforting!!

You can't tar the other 14 teams with negativity just because the Pies were thrashed today.

So basically your saying that Brisbane didn't win it, Collingwood lost it. In that case we would be the better side, if we had've played to our best we would have beaten Brisbane regardless of what they did?

I think not. Brisbane were far better than us today. I think we played badly in part to the fact that Brisbane played so well. Brisbane are the best side, because they can put together a brand of football, that won't just win them games, it wins them premierships. That is what seperates them from the rest of the competition, including St. Kilda and WCE.

Congratulation Brisbane on your place in immortality. You have joined elite company, and you deserve your place in history.
