How can this St Kilda Side be Stopped?

I love and am proud of the greatest and most successful club in VFL/ AFL history. I have no interest in whether I upset you or your club or anyone else. You are an irrelevant "football club' and have been for well over a century. Maybe moving to Tassie might be the best thing for you guys. Goodnight and good riddance to you and your rabble. I've wasted enough time even speaking about you so on to ignore for you so don't bother responding because I won't see it 😉

I thought we were done here arguing. Most of the people involved in your club's era of success are dead because it was so long ago.

Flags from back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s mean nothing now when assessing how good your team is or is likely to be going forward.

Painful as it may be we have been thrashing the pants of your mob more often than not for over 2 decades.

I get you to love your team and you have the right to do that, and yes you have a rich history of success prior to the 2000s but maybe don't come here and trash our team when your mob really isn't that crash hot anymore.

1 flag and 27 wooden spoons. I don't mean to sound disrespectful here, but for a foundation member of the competition that sure is an appalling record.

I do admire and respect you Saints fans though. Sure someone has to support St Kilda i suppose.:winkv1:

It is an appalling record but you know what. We're still here after 150 years, still with a strong supporter base, and despite our 27 spoons and 1 flag, we're a proud club with a proud supporter base and we are not going to just sit here and take abuse. Especially not from a team we've been better than on balance for the best part of 23 years.

Carlton was once a very successful club but you have a long way to go in order to restore that reputation and while you go about doing that maybe show some humility.

Lyon certainly deserves coach of the year at this stage. Amazing what he's done so far. Collingwood next week is a very interesting game. If St Kilda win that one, I think you'd have to look at St Kilda as a top 4 team

How many since the brown paper bags stopped? Carlton always relied on their riches and willingness to corrupt the comp to maje up for the lack of character.

Just another entitled club living on bought glories from the past. The arrogance toward the poorer teams is so misplaced on the equalisation era that its almost endearing, like watching a duchess scramble with the rest of the proletariat for a crust of bread, or watching Chris Skace lining up for prison food.

As s**t as we've been for the last 12 years, one cold comfort is watching Carlton and Essendon continue to fail. Long may it continue.
They're the footballing equivalent of the guy who peaked in high school.....who's now 50, on his third divorce and just wishes it was the good old days again.

King coming back will be a bad thing for the saints imo his talented but lazy style will upset Ross' game plan and infect the rest of his team mates. He's also a big enough star to not have to care what the coach says. I can see St Kilda going undefeated until King's return then it all falling apart.

That’s got to be the biggest reach I’ve ever seen 😂

What you say is true IF a King type was free to play for Freo, a dysfunctional team if ever I saw one that would ruin a forward.

Fortunately, big Max will be returning to Saints, a very functional, even a formidable, team at the moment. Big Max will add a further dimension to the teams style, and create headaches for oppo.

I think you have him confused with Nat Fyfe.

King in our squad will make it massively better.

****ing lol.
You don't get to be a big enough star than Ross Lyon at St Kilda these days.
You've got to be a big enough star than Lenny Hayes, Robert Harvey and Corey Enright before you get to the Big Dog himself.
Good luck with that.

I mean Lyon dropped Milne and Dal Santo in his first stint at the Saints, he won't cop any nonsense from King if it comes up. Also seeing how we play without him would further prove RTB would drop him if he needed to.

All that being said, King can get up the ground a fair bit and use his speed in transition. Probably won't see that straight away since he'll need time for match fitness

I truly hope it is a clash between the last 2 undefeated teams

smash those soft ass pies next week!
Unfortunately I think crows beat Carlton next week. Despite their record, I think the crows at their best have been much better than the blues this season.

Adelaide lost to Richmond at AO.

Carlton drew with Richmond.

Adelaide lost to Giants at GS.

Carlton beat Giants at GS.

HOWEVER, I tend to agree that the Crows at home on current form will be a wake up call. I don’t think we’ve won at AO.

Last year we delivered the worst performance of the year against Crom.

He's one of the best contested marks in the competition. Even if he doesn't find his feet up forward when he returns, Lyon can drop him behind the ball and he'd make a terrific intercepting defender.

Biggest concern with the King's is their health. They just look to have the type of bodies you associate with basketballers. Slender, athletic builds.

I like how you glossed over where I said "despite their record"
My point still stands, Adelaide at their best have been better than Carlton at their best, so far this season
