They may not have been setting the world on fire anymore but retain 1-2 of them and things could be a fair bit different at Melbourne.

Well and truly bereft of leadership on-field is their team at the moment.

I'm pretty sure Miller, Junior and Bruce were in those teams where we were getting belted by 100+ less than 5 seasons ago, they weren't making a difference when they were our top end players, in terms of imposing themselves and showing leadership

Firstly, to address the OP, Bailey has escaped the axe (prior to 2011) because he was given an opportunity

Opportunity to tank, and he did. In doing so the club has cemented a cancerous culture.
