How many trades do you have left?

Surely people arn't looking at trading the JPod too seriously. Has been the best forward behind Pavlich and Chapman. Can probably put him down for 120 at Skilled against the Roos this week. Just because it's his first year of AFL and started at rookie price does not mean he needs to be upgraded, same goes for Barlow.

4 trades left myself. 2 will be used to turn one of Brown or Higgins to N.Riewoldt in 2 or 3weeks and if possible the other 2 to do something with Nick Nat but not really seeing any rucks I like.

Yeah I agree, kneejerk reaction based on one down game in the wet. Will bounce back. If you consider someone a keeper a price drop along the way doesn't matter.

If someone was going to trade him to an ultra premium, while thats a sideways trade I wouldn't do, I wouldn't call it crazy. What I would say though, is given how many forward injuries and underperformers in the forwards this year, if you are in the situation where you can afford to make a JPOD trade your main priority, then you surely are in the top 200 :p

Crap, 5 games? That means I need to win four from five to guarantee Top 8.

4-6 isn't good enough. Too many close losses. Third highest point scorer in my league, yet I'm still freaken 10th.

Not happy.

Oh tell me about it:mad: I'm in one league and averaging just under 2100.00 per game and I'm dead last:mad::mad: It frustrates me! ( the league is ranked in the high 50's so yeah) Yet I'm first in the other 2 leagues.

2 trades left and barlow has broken his leg, had team completed three weeks ago and have trade4d brown, kruz, and no barlow over a three week period.

5, will be using 2 this week with barlow > judd and fyfe > chappy, down to 3, hopefully be able to go rockliff > roo in a few weeks making my team look pretty sweet, you know apart from the 2 trades i would have left

I have 11 left, but not much cash. I have Barlow, although I might be able to hold fire with Bastinac covering for a week or two if my needs are greater elsewhere (which they are). Hurn, Silvagni, Nason, Webberley, Maguire in the backs are all still risky propositions, and Waite, Brown, Rockliff, Davis and big bad Relton are troubling me up front. Brown I hope will come good after a few weeks off, and if Waite could just stop thumping blokes he'd be fine there...

Pav & RoK have shown that class will out, so I can wear their occasional inconsistency.

Think I may have look for a couple of downgrades this week to build up my cash reserves.

10 trades? 11 trades? wow.

I've got 5 left with 100k or thereabouts and Barlow to trade. Waters and Hall to go if trades permit later on.

10 and 11...wow lol

12 trades left, will be doing more tinkering...... i have less than $1,000 left after my trade for this week (had to get Tippett from Adelaide into the lineup, paid off after his blinder of a game last night).

Ziebell is a player that needs to be replaced, to do that and have more money to spend i am most likely going to sacrifice one of my medium quality defenders in the reserves list.

5

need to remove barlow & ziebell, have stanton & watts on the bench to replace them, but then 7 of the 8 bench players MIA - includes hille & maguire. only renouf is playing. others are webberley, kayler thomson, playfair.

1 - im thinking of major downgrade of barlow to be the one MID bench sitter for the year (need someone under 300k who will play every week - mitch farmer maybe - or leon davis or jared brennan).
2 - then when finals arrive upgrade stanton to ablett.

3 - wanting to upgrade ziebell to either j brown or n reidwoldt, but may need more cash - we shall see. that makes j watts the bench sitter.

4 - renouf can get sold for the cash needed in the ziebell upgrade.

the return of hille & maguire then ensures leuenberger stays on the bench, and likewise for silvagni.

and all that depends on no more injuries/suspensions - oh the worries.

11 and considering not trading him out straight away? How conservative can you get? Trade him!

I think there is a case of having too many trades. If you have 11 trades left and haven't got a complete side then you should look at making a few changes. If you have a complete side then lucky you! Hold off until finals and make some luxury trades and keep a few in the bank.

I have 8 left (7 after I trade Barlow) with a complete side and adequate cover in every position apart from the rucks.

I should be fine.

Care to show your team there mate? ;)

Just re read my post and it sounds like I'm pumping my team up but that wasn't my point. When I say complete I mean to say that any upgrades would be out of luxury rather than necessity.

Backs: Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Gilbee, Newman, Shaw, Malceski (Roberton, Heath)

Mids: Ablett, Selwood, Gibbs, Cooney, Barlow (Judd at the end of the week), Bartel (Armstrong, Shuey).

Rucks: Sandi, Cox (Warnock, Rookie)

Forwards: Pav, Pods, Higgins, Goodes, ROK, Rioli, Franklin (Gumby, Hitchcock)

Have some issues in the forward line like everyone else but will go into finals feeling confident. ;)

Would love Chappy but I think I have too many cats players already, which makes me nervous.

Ranked 546th - 10 trades remaining.... (I don't consider 10 too many at this stage!)

Barlow -> Judd
Martin -> Montagna

next week, Ipod, Rockliff or Hall -> Chappy
week after Ipod, Rockliff or Hall -> Roo
Waters or Hunt -> Premium Back

Team done 5 left for luxury/LTI after round 19

A thought based on last year and the last few rounds. If the top 2 positions are set General sorness may make an apperance for those teams and players rested over 2/3 weeks .

That's a really nice looking team you have there dude, can't really see any weaknesses. :thumbsu:

Only thing it lacks is a Montagna/Swan/Dal Santo type in your midfield.

Other than that a very strong team, well done. ;)

Can I ask where you are ranked out of curiosity?

Thanks mate, definitely agree with you on the midfield situation. I made a bad decision when I upgraded Martin to Bartel instead of Montanga. It has been annoying the hell out of me, bad decision. It did allow me to get ROK though.

I've taken it a bit slow when upgrading and held onto some trades because I'm in 3 cash leagues and want a return on them. :D

My rank has taken a bit of a hit because of it and am sitting around 1700.

4 trades left. Next week I'll trade Rockliff (hopefully to Chapman), then finally I'll try and trade Dangerfield. Not sure if I should keep the 3 spare for finals though.

You guys think I should keep Dangerfield and keep those trades spare?
