I shudder to think?

My guess is 6 :D ;)

Go Otto Man

Catters to squeeze in by a lazy 15 goals. Tiger hard men Wayne Cambell, Greg Tivendale and Joel Bowden to go down and try and rough Otto up before the game. Mooney to lose it and knock all three unconcious :D Richmond are a rabble

Graham will get 8 as a Richmond specialist and Ottens to bag 5. King to get 40 hit outs against Simmonds. Richo to spit the dummy and punch Mooney (who will play on Richo) and Moons to look and laugh at the crowd spitting on Wallet.

considering he's only kicked more than 4 goals once in his career that would appear unliokely you big dummy..and that was with the luxury of richo always attracting the best backman....geez our knees will be knockin just who to man up with luminaries Kingley, playfair and Otto..(hasn't kicked more than 30 for 4 years)

Good to see the Cats blueprint emulates richmonds and Hawthorns circa 2001..ignoring the need for any additional youth...wooden spoon 3 years later

I'd say 5 or 6.
He will be one of our best in a 12 goal win.

Herald sun will run with a picture of him taking a speccy on Gaspar's head and the caption 'Look what the new cat dragged in!'

Terry Wallet will start talking about 'The Journey'

Otten's goal kicking record:-

1998 - 2 goals
1999 - 21 goals
2000 - 30 goals
2001 - 46 goals
2002 - 27 goals
2003 - 10 goals
2004 - 16 goals

152 goals in 129 games

(Thanks to JulzQld for the stats)

Oh and you're forgetting.. Round 1 is always OUR game;)

But you'd probably play for the club out of passion Phat.

Yes.

Do you cheer for Nathan Brown, and are you happy with Terry Wallace as coach?

As money hungry sods go, these two clearly outpoint Brad Ottens (who will be earning less than he did at Richmond) and even Darren Gaspar.

LOL.. I actually thought your footy knowledge was much better than that Phat, especially considering you are a moderator*, but your Gaspar comment..PMSL

Actually Skywalk750, I think you guys are a lil confused.. Gaspar took a significant paycut at the end of this season.. Rumoured to be more in the $250,000 a year range.

!

You pay $250,000 for Gaspar?

Jesus.

The Geelong forwards will run rampant. Ottens to get 4,Bennny to get 6-7, kent to get about three while ablett and chapman will probably get 2-3. Ottens will kill gaspar in contested marking and pace. I say we are going to flog em.

One thing that we must rememeber is that teams usually win thier first game with a new coach and also Richmond have a good round 1 record.

Having said that we should win by 15 goals

Ah, before you launch dumb insults about footy knowledge, try understanding what i was saying.

I was actually praising Gaspar, saying he wasn't money hungry like Judas and Wallet.

These Cats think they are gun team lol. Now that we have a coach (a real coach) we'll give you a good run for your money in round 1. Also it was only a couple of years ago that Gaspar was rated as highly as Scarlett as a Full back. Gaspar wasn't ready to play the first half of this season, but he did and his confidence was killed for the second half of the season. His season and reputation was ruined by our selectors decison to play him. Gaspar will be ready next season and Otto will be lucky if he kicks 4 goals.

With who? You have a one man forward line, two man midfield and no defence.

Nah, he's just crap.

Gaspar will be ready next season and Otto will be lucky if he kicks 4 goals.

Who'll mind Benny, who beats you single-handedly each year or KK who can be just as dangerous? Ottens will add plenty to our forward line but we aren't relying on him to be booting a ton. We will have plenty of other options and Richmond's woeful defence won't be able to contain them.

Graham only usually plays 2 good games a year, usually against us. But we have a coach and a game plan now, so it looks like Graham will be the most useless big man in the comp next year once again :D

Richmond will win as we always win round 1 and trick the fans. Next year will be a good year though, Ottens will be injured after the first game once Tim Fleming is done with him. The cats finish in the top 4 and now there the best team in Austral;ia. Thjey won't even make the 8. Bet your bottom dollar
