At the moment he is young promising 3rd tall defender. If there was no undue pressure on wages we could afford to wait until his contract runs out to properly assess his future worth. There is concerns over his body that the club would be in the best position to evaluate. Would hate to prematurely sign him and then his body gave out. It had a hard couple of years in the middle of its most important developmental phase (knee reconstruction followed by run into the ground last year physically and emotionally)
