NLM re-injured his quad, yet another brilliant decision by the Essendon medical staff to play him.

Quinn must be given the arse.

Dapper - just to clarify for you:

Quinny is the High Performance Coach
Dr. Bruce Reid (Doc Reid) is the medico (medical staff).

The final decisions on injuries are made BETWEEN the Doctor, Physio and HPC.......

Learn how to bring it out of defence. Like against Adelaide. When gathering a possession whilst headed towards opposition goals, handball in that direction to a player in the clear running in our direction. Don't turn and try and deliver.

Adelaide get players back and run it out in numbers, we prefer to have otions up the field. We're alright off a quick turnover but start to struggle if it's kept in our defensive 50.

Totally incorrect. Brisbane's midfield is vastly superior to the Kangas' who didnt have Wells for almost 3 quarters either. Compare Black, Power, Lappin, Sherman and Rischitelli to Simpson, Harris, Rawlings, Harvey and Swallow. I know which lot i'd rather be playing against, and unfortunately, we just played them!

good point mate i think you win by knockout:D

I wouldnt say they are bigger names as such. Guys like Black, Power and Lappin never get reagrded in the top echelon with guys like Judd, Burgoyne, Kerr and Goodes. They are just better players. Black and Lappin have better skills than all of the kangas guys. Power is argueably a better in and under player than Harris or Simpson.

The kangas midfield is based on blue collar workers that dont stop trying. Brisbane's is more white collar, guys with silky skills. These are the guys that cut teams apart. The kangas guys get clearences and nullify opponents, without starring themselvs.
You say the kangaroos don't cut teams apart yet they have managed to be the 3rd top scoring team with a no-name forward line.

Hope you guys kick Brisbane's butt this weekend.

If you were watching the Qld 7, 9 & 10 sports on the news last night, going by the report those cocky b#rstards had the game won. One team town/state mentaility. Worse than Adelaide - trust me.

I've tipped you lot anyway.

different sort of midfield - kangas worked extremely hard and was very blue collar. Brisbanes has class, but has it's limitations defensively.

I guess we can hope that they will play another totally unaccountable game at the dome like they did against Carlton, and cause a shootout. That is our best hope.

That may all of a sudden make us look much better very quickly - as over this season using the ball with space has hardly been our problem...accountable, one on one midfields have.

Hopefully it's a shootout, but Im sure Leigh knows this and will play a much tighter game.

Kangas have been exceptionally good this season and could easily have an even better win-loss ration than they do, if not for a little bit of luck. They are seemingly still seen as an easybeat, when they are nearly the furthest thing from it. I think they may run out of a legs as the season goes out, as their style has to be taxing...time will tell.

I thought we put up a good effort last week compared to previous, I thought our midfield worked a bit better and if not for poor kicking, we could have done even better. Considering our history with them, that was always a game we had Buckleys of winning. I wasnt nearly as disapointed in that game as many fans seem to have been, or I have been in other games.

You can hardly call their forward line "no name". Grant and Corey Jones have been stationed up there for a majority of the time, playing a role similar to Brad Johnson's. Edwards won the VFL goal kicking last year, so I would say he has some talent too. Hale has also been up there when he has been playing, and Petrie has spent time there. And lets not forget Matt Campbell, their version of Alwyn Davey. I would say they are doing a more than adequate job of covering the losses of Rocca, Thompson and Harding.

You will win if Lloyd and Lucas kick 8 or more goals between them. If they don't then i cannot see Essendon winning. The end.
