Such a hard game to quantify.

Jacobs and Dougie fourth and sixth best?
Is this the list Campo uses at selection?
Thanks Stabhttps://www.afl.com.au/video/2019-05-09/tiger-warning-and-can-ducks-hot-streak-continue
people are taking notice
Carey reckons there is a strong correlation between our last 3 wins and Hugh finally playing this year
It includes last 40 games. Jacobs and Dougie were pretty good in 2017.Jacobs and Dougie fourth and sixth best?

If the club believed that we would have let sloane go last year and used the picks we received to get luko and rankineThat's where my head is at the moment.
If the club is honest and believes that they're not a premiership calibre squad then it needs to make some hard calls.
If Freo hypothetically were to offer pick 11 or 12 for Greenwood the club needs to look at whether to take it and go to the draft with 3 picks inside the top 25 (Pick 1-3 from Carlton, 12 from Freo and Carlton's 2nd round pick) and load up on talent.
Those three players together with Milera, Fog, Jones, McHenry would provide a good group of youngsters to build a side around and if we look at trying to pinch Grundy we could be staring down at possibility of a quick rebuild.
Begins well. Ends bad
Yes??? Our A graders are all pushing 30, Sloane Tex Talia Lynch that's half our spine you could throw in Jacobs and Jenkins but we've found better players already.About to hit rebuild mode? Really?

I am not saying that we should get rid of Greenwood, but I do think if he wanted to leave and we get a good offer for him it would be incredible remiss of the club not to seriously consider it.
We wont get much more than a third rounder for him.Obviously if we get a strong offer for a player then we should consider it. The problem is, we're not going to. Greenwood is a great player but he's not established yet as the star we know he is. Any trade offer we get for him is going to be less than his value.
If he wants to leave, obviously that's a different story. Then we need to maximise our return, whatever it may be.

If he continues on with his current form for the rest of the year we would get around pick 17/18. Nothing higher. Hopefully he stays.
Sensible and Marty36 don't belong near each otherFinally somene sensible like me.
It is unlikely we will get a good trade and if not he stays
the trade figure will be determined by how he is rated by the clubs wanting him, at least it will give us an idea what he is rated like by neutral proffessionals
Other sides wont rate him as high as us.If he continues on with his current form for the rest of the year we would get around pick 17/18. Nothing higher. Hopefully he stays.
Be surprised if he was offered much more than $600k.It also depends on what the club he may go to, if he was to go, offers him...
That can’t exactly offer him a $600k or more contract and then turn around and say he’s not worth much at the trade table..
Anything less than $600k and the crows would probably be willing to say to him “we’re willing to negotiate and come to an arrangement that gets you close to what you want Hugh”... and then he would have to consider whether he wants to uproot his life and move interstate for only an extra bit of cash..
Be surprised if he was offered much more than $600k.
This is why I can't see him going. We should be able to pay him this.

I personally think he is a $500-$550k player. On par with Jenkins. You need to be careful with offering big $$ to players who struggle with fitness and body concerns

Which will be about $250k above the average AFL salary next year.

True. The big question for greenwood is his body has struggled at a younger age, how will it go getting older has anyone on here tried playing at 30, it gets harder and harder
Other sides wont rate him as high as us.
He does not present as one if our best players even though he is important to us.

Why would other teams chase him, if they don't rate him?
