Dew isn't the first coach to realize that Hall is too offensive which makes the team a lot weaker in the current environment. That's why a 4th rounder is allegedly all it will take to get him to Norf.
It will open them up through the middle on defensive transition if Hall plays and negates some of the good work done with Gaff. Polec not great defensively either

GWS have to move him on for salary cap relief (especially if they’re going to lose him anyway). The Hawks offer pick 14 in a good draft, which is better than waiting a year for a similar pick in a weaker draft.

I don’t think GWS would have much room to play hard ball.

If the club does get Amon during the trade period, I don’t understand why some posters on here are saying that he is a terrible player and that he’s going to be a bust. Considering the clubs track record over the years I’d say he’s more likely to succeed then fail.

He’s at the right age and fills a need. A left footer who can play on the wing and has some speed which is something we currently lack. He definitely has some upside and isn’t going to cost much at the trade table and salary wise.

Apparently we are missing class players - and we go and get rid of one of our classiest in the toughest position on the field.
