Just a bit of fun inspired by recent conversation in the BigFooty Phantom Draft.

Here is a promise to all big footy members. Quote. I will eat my elbow and give away everything i own to raise money for the Collingwood football club, should Caddy still be around at pick 9 come draft day.

Think a player is being overrated and will go later than BF groupthink suggests? Who will go higher than expected?

I don't think you are wrong with Jacobs. I have him going to Melbourne at 12 and I feel it is unlikely that he drops further than Adelaide at 14 who are said to be super keen.

Barden I feel the same about. Good player at TAC Cup level but at AFL level I think he might struggle. Hope he gets a shot as a rookie. Very much deserves a rookie spot, minimum but wouldn't surprise me to see him slide through the national draft.

Aaron Young I thought might go top 20 for a period. Some recruiters are adamant that he will. Might still, but probably a little early for him I feel.

Jack Darling will slide to 26.
George Horlin-Smith will be top 30.
Daniel Gorringe will slide to Melbourne's pick 12.
Josh Caddy will be selected at 8 at the latest.
If Darling doesn't slide, Tyler Chalwell will be drafted by WC at 28.
Scott Lycett will slide to Richmond's 2nd rounder.

Okay, jokes, and the betting of nuts aside, I will make some predictions:
-Darling will slide further than 20 (unless Woosha is allowed to call the names, in which case he'll go pick 4 ), Jacobs won't.
-Barden won't get a shot until the rookie draft, and possibly ditto Josh Walker (which is sad coz I like the way they both go about it)
-Watson will go to Geelong at pick 15 if he doesn't go to GC. Geelong will look for Watson, McCarthy, Smedts, Caddy, B Smith or I Smith at 15 (in that order).
-Carlton, will yet again, pick a midfielder, but their recruiters will survive the expected supporter lynching as they will be able to blame us for stealing their key defender
-Jed Lamb to Hawthorn at pick 19
-Both Parker and Guthrie will make it beyond 25 and represent outstanding value for whoever gets them
-Blayne Wilson will get drafted in the top 50, despite everyone's pessimism
-Tape, McCarthy and Watson to be the only key defenders in the top 40
