4 years later I'm over it.

Hey oohdannyboy,

went down to the park last Friday night, but there was no one there.

No line up overnight for tickets, at least I had a good night sleep :D

You seriously don't need to ask that question.....

1. Front running goal sneaks are not respected in general
2. He has a head only a mother could love.
3. His brothers were both better
4. He don't like the kitchen when the heat is on!!

Pretty much why we don't like him!!
LMAO :D

Just kidding
We could all lighten up a little when it comes to political correctness
lighten up - I am a nervous wreck right now. we just had a meeting about half an hour ago and all thru the meeting I was thinking about the grand final and how we would celebrate if we won.
I guess you'd be in my shoes if your team was in GF. :p

No doubt
Been there a few times :D

Enjoy !

40,000 pretty conservative number I'd have thought.

I reckon a minimum of 50K+ lined the streets for the motorcade. And probably half the crowd were those working in the city (neutrals) such as myself.

I avoided it - but my office in Collins Street had a clear view of the proceedings (with my royal blue and white one eye).

Must admit, I was 'over' footy pretty quickly once North got bundled out, but the GF fever in the city is a buzz, and looking forward to the game now.

Enjoy it Weagles & Bloods supporters. Lucky bastards - wish my mob were playing.

Fremantle, Richmond & Footscray supporters - feel free to ignore this post - as you would have no idea what GF week and that 'buzz' is all about. ;)

I think if you are going to join this forum you should understand the standards of debate that are and are not accepted.

The question was why do Victorians not like FIDO. I gave honest answers to enlighten my west coast supporting fellow poster.....

I am Brian Strauchan and I'm looking forward to an uninterupted pre-season so I can move into Collingwood's mid field next season.
well then you will need to do what he said on footy show- +

"Besides my skills, the advantage I have over other players is the way I use my football brain – I mean, let’s face it, the game is 80% physical and 30% mental"

"You have to be so careful of umpires these days... I remember running into one back in Horsham. Luckily he didn't get my number plate because it was dark, but you just never know..."

"A great footballer is so silky smooth that he makes the ball look like an extension of his body. I remember after training once Mick said to me: 'Strauchanie, your head reminds me of a football.' You can't get a bigger compliment than that."

"Many players have a secret weapon that gives them an edge. Me? I’ve got the ‘Strauchan-pedo’. That is a kick specifically designed to nail a goal. Or put it out on the full; depends on the situation."

"I know people think it's funny, but I am a very superstitious player. I won't run through a banner. I won't put my jumper on until last. And I won't kick to Shane O'Bree."

"I am known as a bit of a prankster… back at Horsham, just before a Grand Final, I went around to the opposing captain's place and burnt down his farm. Hilarious! He never played again, but I think he can move his arms now."

"Goals are like hamburgers – you can never have too many of them."

"I look at someone like ‘Bucks’ and think - just imagine what he could’ve achieved if he had my ability."

"There’s nothing worse than having to sit in the stands and watch your team play. Especially last week – my seat was at least 100 metres from the nearest hot dog outlet."

"In this game, you have to be competitive and want to be the best. That’s why I’m always first on the team bus, first in the showers and first in the queue on pie night."

"Every player remembers his worst injury... Mine? Tore my hamstring off the bone. I overstretched reaching for the wontons Mum had placed on the top shelf. After that I had to settle for prawn crackers."

"Even though I haven't played a senior game, I've still achieved greatness by getting this far with a peanut allergy. Success through adversity puts me alongside the likes of Lance Armstrong and that one legged downhill skier...I forget his name."

"One aspect that you have to remember is that you are an ambassador for your club, all the time. That’s why I make sure the taxi driver has no idea who I am before I run off without paying."

so who does everyone think the winner would be and the reasons ??????????

I think Swans. I hope the Swans.

Only time I have seen these two teams play live, sydney were good and West Coast were ordinary. Swans stable line up is a bonus and West Coast's side is probably still to be determined? I think alot will have to do with how they shut down your mid field. They play a hard running game and will place Cuzz, Judd, Kerr and Fletcher under pressure everytime they get the footy. The midfield battle will be interesting and I think go along way to ensuring a Swans victory.

Hall will be important, he is one of the few players from both sides to perform OK in a Grand Final.

If Judd, cuz and co get on top, I think West coast will win. But I am not sure the Swans will allow West Coast to run and run.....look for lots of stoppages, lots of man of man pressure.......should be a great contest.
