There's nothing lazy about it - as 3KZ would say, it's "scientific". Chipmunk at some point will come in and vote for you, so there is essentially two votes on you right now, as opposed to a day 1 crapshoot where everyone sprays their vote so no-one feels at all under pressure and we learn nothing.
