WOW, this team just continues to defy expectations.
Still trying to get some coherent thoughts together some 3 hrs after the game finished.
Hopefully not the last we see of Buddy in the Red and White at the SCG, but if it is really set up the Swans in the first half. The loss of Reid was noticeable in the forward structure. To show what a crazy season it is, we are all hoping he is ok to play next week.
Not sure what was happening in the final quarter, whether nerves, running out of fitness, or just the wrong game plan but whatever it was it made the game a lot closer than what it should've been. Thankfully yet another Pies miracle win didn't happen this time. The fap fest over them would've been enough to make anyone vomit.

If Reid doesn't come up I suspect McLean will get the guernsey. He's better at bringing the ball to ground and is a better contested mark.
Amartey is the better ruck cut out but offers less close to goal at AFL level.
Big call either way.

Gotta say, I would like to see an optimistic post every now and again.

we've been such a great last quarter team all season, we were due a crap one ... that was it ... next week we finish it off

I don't think we were as cooked as we think. I just think we went the defensive gameplan too early, and by the time we realised, Collingwood's momentum went through the roof.
