You see the AFL gave Martin a two week suspension to rile up the Tigers and also to stay in the news cycle for longer, because there’s nothing the AFL would want to do more than piss off one of the largest Victorian clubs and stay in the news as a sniping sport for thugs.

Responding to the public outcry caused by Fox Footy’s decision to have him call this Saturday’s western derby, the Collingwood president told 6PR’s Morning program that he should be paid to spend more time in WA because his high profile would bring more publicity
“They should have flown me over this week and got me to do my breakfast show from Perth,” he said.
“They should have had me down at Bunker Bay and Margaret River doing the wine tasting and things like that.”
McGuire said Queensland was paying to bring Collingwood people to the Gabba for its game against Brisbane later this month and the WA Government should do the same.
