We have a GLARING need in the ruck which needs to be addressed in trade week, and if it's overlooked because we're busily posturing over the Judd circus, only to ultimately miss out, I'll be livid.

P.S. If he does name us and then we miss out, Judd going into the PSD wouldn't be such a bad result for us, as WCE are a very good side already.

We have a very good list with or without Judd. We have two top 10 drafts from last years superdrat to come and Dawes who was CHF for Vic Metro before the knee injury.

We need a guy who can break even in the ruck.

Its sad to see Clement go as he was an absolute champion but I guess it does free up some cap space to fit Judd in

He'll be 32 before the 2008 season starts. Would be handy at best for a year or two, but more likely he'd just be taking up a spot on the list and money from the salary cap.

Chick is early '30's now but I reckon he's got a fair bit more to give. He's a suprisingly good athlete - still pretty quick. Look at the job he did on Rusling recently. I reckon clubs that draft him could get another couple of years out of him.

There's behavioural rumours for sure. But look at what Brisbane did with Martin PIke late in his career.....

Don't think it is about money, but just Goldsack emphasising how much the players want Judd, as they will accept a pay cut if thats what is required to get him.

What it also shows is that getting Judd will not hurt the team sprit, rather by the sounds of Goldsack it will only improve it.

LOL he was saying it hypothetically in the HUN, mate.

Just saying that if it meant Collingwood would get a shot at the GF, then he'd take a 10k paycut. Doesn't mean he was exactly offering it. But thats obviously how it would go if it was required.

I agree, but, as mentioned up-thread, bloody MM will probably be trampling people to get Judd, and not overly concerned with the ruck situation. Annoying. Would love to have Judd, but don't want to sell our souls to get him.

Agreed....we need a No.1 ruck (Not a squib like Spider either) ...also Judd does not automatically mean success.
Build on what we have...if Judd comes over good...try and fit him in.
