Because they prepared it that way, assuming we couldn't play spin (or bowl spin), and it spectacularly backfired on Kohli.
Kohli had 100% say in the pitch preparation imo, and now he's the cricket worlds biggest LOL.

I don't mind when test match pitches are more 'testing'. Modern day batsmen are crybabies.

However, the pitch was still outside of what the ICC considers a good pitch, and this isn't the first time India has been reprimanded for doing so.

I have some sympathy for Tigers fans, having immigrant parents who didn't know shit about footy, meant that it wasn't until I started school that footy, and who we supported became an issue. We lived in the Hawthorn area so I chose Hawthorn, my brother liked tigers so he chose Richmond. This was 1979.
