He did stop an inevitable boundary.And Prior waste a valuable 7 minutes getting treatment.
I don't think there is enough time for an England win. But don't rule out a KP onslaught.

Totally pointless final day so far. No chance in hell for and England victory now. Piss poor effort from the Indians today, could've upped the run rate and set the poms a tough-ish chase in a bit more than 2 sessions.
I'd love to see that.

oh, now they declare, with a lead of 402 with a minimum 44 overs left in the match. So much for attacking captaincy and trying to win the game.

Dhoni is still a good captain, still has 100% win record. But yeah they should have declared at lunch. But then again England should have bowled at the stumps a bit more as well. And KP did say last night they are playing for the draw oh well.

after what's happened in the last couple of weeks it would be foolish to risk losing the game. especially when there's little to gain, win the series, 1-0 or 2-0, nobody is really going to remember or care how many tests we won by. if anything, dhoni's showing he's not being selfish in not going for a 100% winning captaincy record.

Either way, atleast we won't be having a #1 team that is captained by someone who chooses to save his own ass instead of going for a test win when they are behind in the series.
Anyhow, good series win for us. A result from this match was always going to be unlikely given the amount of overs lost. The Indians now have a good long break until March before they face off the Kiwis away. Been a while since that happened so should be good.
India are just determined to make Test cricket as boring as possible so it can promote its crappy 20/20 competition. I have no time for Indian cricket.
