In Giza and had to do a big mission in the giant Nazi compound, is there a better way to open the padlocked little chests or only via a gun? Anyway, 100 dead nazi's later and a free compound to explore.
You can hit them with a held weapon, your little white dot turns red when you aim at the padlock

It's funny as I accidentally did this last night, just belted the case. I had tried it before though and it didn't work so must be an angle thing, a weapon type thing or I am stupid.

I hadn't even noticed them until your post and then started smacking them. Was wondering how you'd ever get enough money to buy all the things.

Just did the bit after Gizeh last night, man this game is epic, haven't played anything like it in a while. It doesn't do anything new, but it's all so well made and just hits.

God damn I've been so busy these past few months, I'm behind on everything. But for anyone who cares, he's my 7.5/10 review.

Seems about fair.

Have only watched people play it but that’s where I’d sit in terms of the score.

Positives - story great, voice acting superb, environments are good and does well to compliment the indiana jones world in the nazi era. The side missions and commitment to those stories being meaningful is commendable.

Negatives - combat seems too easy and game not challenging enough, not the right balance between exploration and action scenes. Obviously not talking on an uncharted level but Indiana Jones films have some memorable scenes that are entirely reliant on action set pieces. Also the Indiana Jones animation is very Bethesda - his eyes remind me of when he was briefly brainwashed in temple of doom - not much life in there, Harrison Ford’s eyes are full of character.

They have done a great job and would be very surprised if there isn’t a sequel.

Have really only just started this but going with an early whinge.

Surely just pressing x is enough of an interaction. No need for x then a L stick down to open a draw.

Same unlocking doors. Right on the d pad. X on the door. Left on the stick. Just x will do pls.

Well I think my run with this game over. Was tidying up the Egypt stuff before moving and I think I've now locked myself in a tomb. Can't find a way out. Leaving Egypt and coming back just puts me in the same spot.

Edit: and I'm a ****ing idiot. Immediately after posting that I see the hand holds I've been spending the last 30 minutes looking for. 🤦‍♂️

That temple/water mission was great. Heart was racing a bit in those parts where you are evading the you-know-what.

The boss fight with Locus after that while wading in knee-deep water was pretty poor though, not sure who thought that was a good idea given you can barely move.

Trying to 100% this can be a grind, I’m up to the Sukhothai region, lots to uncover there.

Don’t think I’ve ever got all achievements for a game on Xbox before so hoping this is the first one.
I was trying to 100% but found myself running into two exceedingly annoying audio bugs (Gina yelling non-stop in Sukhothai and fire/airplane ambient audio from Shanghai in Gizeh and Vatican) so I dipped out on trying to 100%. Also trying to cover the maps properly on foot was just tedious as all hell. I also had some of the actual indicators bug out on me - apparently I have 3 relics to get at Sukhothai but they're not on the map and I get the in-world indicator but there's no physical place for me to actually go to find one of them.

Also found it really weird that some of the side missions you're able to do post-game actually reference end-game stuff. They should've either made some of it mandatory prior to moving on or just integrated them into the main missions (I had a full on side mission with Gina that I didn't complete in the Vatican where she's acting like we hadn't just gone through a world sweeping time together).

Very much enjoyed the game otherwise. Enjoyable story, great side missions and superb acting.

I feel the lack of reliance on combat was a really clever idea. This isn't meant to be Wolfenstein or Uncharted, you get your disguise and get around most of the combat or you just take them out in stealth where possible.

Well just finished the game, absolutely loved it, 9/10 for me. The story, acting, graphics, gameplay was top notch.

Only disappointing thing is I can’t 100% it as I’ve copped a bug, need 2 more journal notes, ones in Marshall college and the other is in the Himalayas, everytime i revisit, collect the note and go to the other area, it resets, wont save that I’ve collected it.

Quite a common theme reading online that there’s many bugs that have prevented people from 100% the game.

I don’t have the game but this seems to be a workaround.
