It will continue to test our depth for another month.
Pity about Madden.

Not sure who we play in Perrymans spot… such an important player player for us.
Smart, good user, plays his role so well.
Could Ward go down back, and we bring Rowston in?

Looks like Kelly is progressing OK.
It is quite long, probably more 2nd 22 than first 22 players.
The bye comes at a good time, thankfully we beat Geelong so players get a mental refresh.
With Brown and Ward back, we hopefully don't get any more injuries vs Hawks and can maybe get Kelly back for Port game.

Let’s see:
Whitfield Taylor HH
Ward Alleer Idun
Haynes Callaghan Wehr
Greene Riccardi Brown
Bedford Hogan Daniels
Briggs Green Peatling

Rowston XOH Angwin Cadman

Thomas

Thoughts?

Your suggestion Is good.
I think we may well need Toby to spend a fair bit of time in the midfield.
Bedford is lucky we have the injuries we do.
Perhaps he should be the sub.

What does the future hold for Fahey?
Was playing VFL. Stuck behind Whitfield and Ash. Now out for most or all of this season.
Does he have a future at AFL level?

He's far ahead of some other players of similar age on our list. It would be up to him if he thinks his opportunities are limited here and wanted to try elsewhere. I think there would be interest. He's more than just a defender IMO.

Unfortunately Preuss has had horrible luck- just 10 games in 4 years with us. I genuinely feel bad for him and think we should give him another chance, but think unfortunately he will not get a contract renewal at the end of the year.
Especially with the ruck from the academy.
I think Elliot Himmelberg will join as well, Keefe retiring probably.

Maybe XO could lock down on a small forward. Showed great defensive skills against Stewart.
Not the polished disposal of Perryman, but could work as a stopper.

Thank you. I appreciate your insight. I hear some VFL watchers question his defensive efforts but I think he would get offers if he wanted to move.
Hopefully for him he recovers well and gets an opportunity to play at AFL level.
