Eddie Mcguire showing just how Vic Centric he is once again.

Suggesting North go to Tasmania as the team. Ok it has potential merits.

Here's where he is just such a ****wit. Suggesting 11 games in tasmania and 11 in Victoria each year. So you're suggesting the team never has to travel to Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, The Gold Coast or anywhere else. What an idea. So essentially they get to Keep a full 11 game ticket for North and 11 games in Tasmania.

Not surprised, a few years back he was proposing Collingwood play their away matches against West Coast/Freo/Adelaide/Port in places like the Gold Coast and Sydney to help grow the game there.

Happy for others to give things up but not his own interested parties

And for Vic teams it's no big deal going to Tas. For the non-Vic teams it could mean double flights ... but heck who cares, the important teams aren't disadvantaged. (WA teams should never play Vic teams in Tas - the double flight means a full day of travelling. Would Collingwood be happy to play in Geraldton or Bunbury?)

Again, I suggest all teams playing interstate teams play two in the one city on a six day break i.e. Syd/GWS or Bris/GC or Adel/Port or Dockers/Eagles or Melb team #1/Melb team #2. Hey presto - halve the travelling. Just like FIFO. (Or at the very least for WA teams or teams playing WA teams - given the extra long travel to/from WA.)

One other thing re the Eddie-Tas discussion, not a mention of NT. All the discussions around Tas should also take into account the NT team. So adding Tas and NT means no byes. But say North to Tas, then add in NT means weekly byes. (To be fair the byes might have to be allocated, say, in reverse ladder position from previous year. Otherwise non Vic teams might 'accidentally' happen to get the early season byes.)

It looks like someone shrunk Tim Kelly.

Lukey Edwards looking like he is heading the right way with his body. Can't say the same for the hairline though :tearsofjoy:

I'm still hopeful we have jagged a really solid player there.

Well-built South Australian 20 year old with the hairline of a 40 year old?

That’s definitely worked for us in the past.

Beggars can't be choosers, well they can choose not to have a footy team.
Something like the NMT Kangaroos playing 7 home games in Tassie, 4 in Melbourne, another 6 away games in Melbourne and the rest around the country could work.
Wean them off Melbourne over a period of time.

If you've been asked for 750m to field your own team, then North Melbourne can go get ****ed, in my humble, grew up in Tassie, opinion.

There was a perfectly good strategic plan for North to play games on the Gold Coast to steadily build up a following that could ultimately have lead to a permanent relocation South Melbourne/Sydney swans style

But Vlad the dickhead got impatient and gave North an ultimatum to move before they were ready. Then threw a tanty when they refused and set up a new team that was always going to struggle

Could have had a relocated North on the Gold Coast and a Tasmanian team already but for the ego of a control freak

I would like a harem of young blondes - cannot always get what is desired.

Three options were provided for consideration for Tasmania/AFL.
1. Relocate an existing team.
2. Joint venture.
3. Their own team.

Carter found a strong presence required but didn’t lean one way or other. Seems like TAS went straight to ‘own team’ option.

Romance getting in the way of logic and reported resistance by 14 Presidents et al to an additional team.
